Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor arrived on 4 June 2021 in California, amid ongoing tensions following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s dramatic exit from royal life.
The couple relocated to the United States after a public feud with the Royal Family, which culminated in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
During the sit-down, Harry and Meghan made a number of allegations against members of the Royal household - including alleged questions over Archie's skin color - though they have been denied.
So when Lilibet was born, it was unclear what role she would play in the Monarchy, if any at all.
Shortly after her birth, a reporter asked Princess Catherine: "Do you have any wishes for your new niece Lilibet?"
The Princess of Wales, staying gracious, smiled and replied: “Oh, I wish her all the very best."
However, the Princess of Wales then heartbreakingingly revealed that she has never met her niece. "I can't wait to meet her because we haven't yet — met her yet," she revealed, adding: "So, hopefully, that'll be soon.”
When pressed further: “Have you FaceTimed with her?” she simply answered: “No, I haven't. No.”
Royal watchers lauded her handling of the question, praising her composure amid family drama. One fan commented: “She wasn't ready to answer that question but she handled perfectly.”
Fast forward to this month, and it was Catherine's son, Prince Louis. who stole hearts with pure charm during the G7 Summit-linked VE Day celebrations.
As King Charles and Queen Camilla led the tribute outside Buckingham Palace, William and Catherine brought their children - George, Charlotte, and Louis - to honor the moment.
Louis, 7, delighted onlookers by dancing and brushing raindrops off William’s shoulder—but his cheeky sense of humor was the real showstopper, per the Sun.
A lip reader revealed what Louis whispered to his dad after William warned: “Look at this, I think it’s going to be quite wet today.”
In pure Louis style, he shot back: “Wasn’t this supposed to be fun?”
With warm reassurance, William replied: “It is son,” then patiently explained the day's events: “They will come along here, and then go towards there, and then we will make our way back.”
He gently encouraged him: “It’s not going to be long and I want you to be taking an interest... You will never forget this.”

Meanwhile, 11-year-old George jumped into the conversation, saying: “I’ve got something in my eye.”
Later, Princess Catherine shared a bonding moment with 10-year-old Charlotte, commenting: “Doesn’t Papa look smart today?”
She introduced her children to a veteran’s uniform, telling Charlotte: “Look at his uniform! … Charlotte is very interested in the uniforms.” The veteran nodded appreciatively: “That’s wonderful to know.”
Queen Camilla also showed her caring side, checking on a veteran: “Ooh, it’s much warmer inside, it’s cold, are you comfortable?”
The man replied: “Yes, I am, thank you so much.”
