Resurfaced video shows moment Pitbull ‘got excited’ with Jennifer Lopez after NSFW confession as footage says it all
A resurfaced video of Pitbull performing with Jennifer Lopez has taken on a new meaning after the musician admitted he "got excited" when she surprised him with an unexpected dance move onstage.
The 45-year-old rapper, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, recently opened up about a particularly memorable moment during his 2011 American Music Awards performance with Jennifer Lopez.
The performance began with Lopez singing her solo hits, 'Until It Beats No More' and 'Papi,' before joining Mr. Worldwide for their song, 'On The Floor'.
The hit track peaked at Number 3 in the United States and sold more than 13 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling single by a female artist in 2011.

Pitbull reveals what happened during the performance
During a Q&A at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami on Wednesday (October 21), Pitbull reflected on the renewed popularity of 'On the Floor,' thanks to the series Off Campus.
"What a, at the time, an absolute blessing and honor to be able to work with Jennifer Lopez,” he praised. "Everything that she’s done in her career and how she climbed it from the bottom all the way to where she continues to pull off her career and the success that she has."
But the 'Give Me Everything' rapper also recalled how Lopez caught him completely off guard with a dance move she hadn’t done during rehearsals.
"But funny story on that right there...," he said. "There’s a picture out there with me and Jennifer at an [awards show]. And Jennifer, during rehearsal, didn’t do a certain move that she did when the show went on."
"And when she did that move, I got excited. So that makes sense to that picture, if you know what I’m talking about."
The audience laughed as Pitbull explained the story behind the viral shot, which shows Lopez dancing with her backside pressed against the rapper while they performed.
Despite the cheeky confession, Pitbull made sure to show his appreciation for his longtime collaborator before joking about another major performance he'd like to be part of.
"So, Jennifer, I appreciate you. And to Jennifer and Shakira, now they owe me a Super Bowl in Miami. Dale!" he said.
Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez's longtime friendship
'On the Floor' was the pair's second collaboration after 2009's 'Fresh Out the Oven'.
Their musical partnership continued with 'Dance Again' and 'Live It Up' before they reunited on stage at the 2014 World Cup opening ceremony.
Despite their close chemistry during performances, both stars have long maintained that their relationship is strictly platonic.
During a 2014 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Lopez said she never had romantic interest in Pitbull and called him "like a brother to me".
The award-winning actress has also continued to make memorable appearances at the AMAs.
In May 2025, she returned to the ceremony as both host and performer, marking 10 years since she last hosted the award show in 2015.
