Buckle up – a "real life Squid Game" experience is apparently making its way to the UK.
The South Korean drama recently took the world by storm, and ended up becoming Netflix's biggest ever show.
The concept revolves around a contest where 456 players — who come from all different walks of life, but each in incredible debt — compete in a series of games for the chance to win a giant cash prize.
Of course, things quickly go awry, and those who lose at the various children games they are made to play end up paying a deadly price.
If that sounds appealing to you, you can attempt a version of the real thing — but minus the risk of being gunned down...
The games are organized by a company called Organisers Universal Ents, which is offering a cash prize of at least $695 (£500). Sure, it's a lot less than what was offered on the fictional television show, but here, you don't risk losing your life...
Contestants will still have to sign "medical disclosures" to ensure that they are fit to take part in the games. To make sure you're sticking to the rules, the company behind it all has also hired security staff.
Squid Game Live will involve 40 contestants, and will see them compete in five rounds of challenges that are inspired by the hit show.
To make sure it's as believable as possible, they will be provided with a uniform to wear and will be fed a "hearty meal" — à la Squid Game itself.
There will also be actors in attendance, and live scenes that will poke fun at the series.
So, if you like the sound of that, here are some finer details. Willing contestants will be picked up by a coach from an as-yet-undisclosed meeting point in North West London. They will then be taken to a remote location where the games will begin.
Entry costs $62 (£45).
Speaking about the unusual experience, creative director, Max Fox, said in a press release: "We want to make sure our experiences are safe, but still as riveting as the games seen on the Netflix smash Squid Game, but due to the violent nature of the hit show, we want to be cautious that the events don't attract unstable people.
"This is a pain-free experience. There will be no paintballs, guns, or otherwise, but don't be afraid of getting wet.
"We want to make the games as realistic as possible, without the risk of injury. Some of our games you won't have seen before, but there needs to be an element of surprise and mystery so people really don't know what they're letting themselves in for," he added.
The first event will be taking place on November 27, and you can apply by visiting this website, or calling 01325 777843.
