A tourist enjoying his morning tea at a hotel breakfast bar has shared his surprise after finding himself set next to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson.
Recalling the once-in-a-lifetime encounter to PEOPLE, Dutch music journalist Paul Barewijk says he was vacationing in Los Angeles on Saturday (November 27) when he decided to pop into the Beverly Hills Hotel for his morning tea.
The Amsterdam native then called his mom from the hotel bar as he drank his beverage. However, Paul's attention was quickly drawn away from his mother when he noticed Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson sat next to him.
As he stayed on the phone to his mom, Paul started to wonder who 28-year-old Davidson was talking to - when he suddenly remembered the recent dating rumors circulating in the press and realized that it was none other than Kim Kardashian.
Prior to the chance encounter, Barewijk had coincidently taken several selfie's in front of the nearby SKIMS pop-up store in Beverly Hills. Using these pics as an opportunity to break the ice, Paul introduced himself to the 41-year-old reality star and business mogul.
He told PEOPLE: "I asked her for a photo. She said, 'Okay, sure,' and I asked Pete to take the photo. So he did. We took two photos."
Paul then told Davidson that people in the Netherlands love SNL, and was able to capture another selfie with the comedian.
The music journalist later shared the snaps to his Instagram page, captioning the post (translated): "OMG MAKE ME CRAZY! SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO KIM KARDASHIAN AND PETE DAVIDSON FOR BREAKFAST!"
"They looked happy, sat close to each other and walked away together," Paul told PEOPLE. "It looked like a date to me."
Earlier this month, Davidson celebrated his 28th birthday alongside his rumored new flame Kardashian, as well as Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav and Kris Jenner.
All four stars could be seen wearing matching loungewear, as Flav captioned the post: "Pete [...] I never took a clock off my neck to give to someone and you will be the last person I do this for [...] it lookz real good on you."
Kim and Pete's romance rumors sparked after her appearance on SNL, where the pair got to know each other pretty well last month when she took over hosting duties.
In fact, in one of their several skits together, Kim and Pete actually shared an onscreen kiss during their Jasmine & Aladdin skit. Check it out below:
