Travis Kelce's mom reportedly isn't too pleased with how she answered a question about her son and Taylor Swift when she appeared on the Today Show.
For those who aren't aware (and there probably aren't many of you left), global icon Taylor and NFL star Travis have been flaunting their romance all across the world over the last few months.
Taylor appears to have been accepted into the Kelce household with open arms as she has been spotted hanging out with Donna Kelce, Travis' mom, on several occasions.
Despite being the mother of two of the best-known players in football, hanging out with arguably the biggest musical talent on the planet right now must be pretty exciting.
In a recent interview on the Today Show, Donna opened up about her experience hanging out with the 'All Too Well' hitmaker, though she is now setting the record straight about one passing comment she made.
When asked about her time with Taylor, Donna initially tried to play it cool, stating: "It’s fairly new, so I don’t like to talk about it. It’s just one of those things where everyone saw me. I was in the boxes with her. It’s another thing that’s amped up my life."
She was further questioned about what it was like to hang out with Taylor, to which she simply replied: "It was okay."
However, according to a profile in the Wall Street Journal, Donna felt regretful about her seemingly underwhelming response. The Journal reported: "Donna Kelce still berates herself for how she handled a question about Taylor on the Today show," highlighting her efforts to downplay the interaction.
Travis, not wanting his mom to dwell on the moment, took immediate action to reassure her.
The Wall Street Journal noted that he called Donna right away to offer comfort. Donna, speaking to the Journal for Travis' profile, expressed her gratitude, saying: "I can tell you this. He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time… God bless him, he shot for the stars!"
With the air now cleared, Travis shared a heartwarming sentiment about his connection with Taylor, stating: "Everybody knows I’m a family guy. Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley."
Sounds like Taylor fits in well with the Kelce clan!
