Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding took place at Madison Square Garden on Friday (July 3) after a smaller "pre-party" took place on Thursday.
As well as inviting close friends and family to their special day, the pop star and NFL player invited a slew of celebrities to celebrate with them.
The newlyweds wore Christian Dior down the aisle, according to Swift's publicist, and decided not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen, as Adam Sandler officiated proceedings.
Around 7:30PM local time on Friday, LED signs outside the venue even displayed text that read “JUST&T MARRIED!”
The public announcement even prompted the White House to post a spoof announcement of their own, while Midtown Manhattan came to a standstill for the couple, for one of the events of the year.
But two big names who were noticeably absent from their festivities were Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
Lively and Reynolds, once one of Hollywood's sweetheart couples, have run into controversy in recent times, thanks to the former's legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
It has been 18 months since the actress chose to sue her former co-star, alleging sexual harassment and a ‘retaliation campaign’ against her.
They would eventually agree to an out-of-court settlement, but Lively is still demanding millions from Baldoni's team in settlement payments.
Swift, who was mentioned in court documents, has since seemingly distanced herself from the couple, despite being pictured with Lively at Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.
A source told Page Six: “Taylor’s in a different place now and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace,
“It’s a shame because she and Blake really were close, but she doesn’t think it’s something that’s going to be fixed. As far as [Taylor’s] concerned, their friendship is done.”
In fact, the publication confirmed that the couple weren't invited to Swift's wedding back in June, with a source explaining: “There was a point where Taylor thought she and Blake would get past all of this,
“She didn’t expect things to end up like this. At first she figured once everything settled down, they’d be fine.
“But then more stuff kept happening and it just got harder to come back from,” they explained.
The source went on: “It wasn’t one big thing, it was everything adding up.
“By the time Taylor was making decisions about the wedding and who she wanted there, she realized she just didn’t want that kind of energy around something so important and it really was a turning point for her.”
Lively and Reynolds were instead pictured in Lake Placid, New York, on the same day, supporting their daughter Betty as she competed in a horse show, per TMZ.
