Off-again, on-again couple Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are reportedly... wait for it... off-again. I know, it's so sad. We might never see paparazzi photos of them strolling the streets of New York City while looking bored out of their minds. (If you want to look cool as a supermodel or rock star, don't express any emotion, ever; the world bores you.)
Over the past three years, Gigi and Zayn's torrid love affair has touched more hearts than Romeo and Juliet, Augustus and Hazel, and Kanye West and Kanye West. To recap: They started dating in November 2016, then announced their split in March 2018. "Breakup statements often seem impersonal," said Hadid in a statement, "because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years.. not only in the relationship, but in life in general."
She continued, "I'm forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared. I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend that I have immense respect and love for. As for the future, whatever's meant to be will always be. xG."

However, last April, the two were spotted kissing again on the streets of the SoHo neighborhood in New York City. The photos fueled rumors about a reconciliation, especially after Hadid "liked" a video that Zayn posted plugging his new record. That's the equivalent of saying "I LOVE YOU," right? In June, the 23-year-old model confirmed they were back together in an adorable Instagram Story.
However, US Weekly reports that their relationship is officially over. (For now.) "They’re done," stated their source. "They could get back together, but it’s over for now." A second insider said Hadid "tried hard to make it work," but Malik has "a lot of his own issues that she couldn’t help him get through. She cut herself off from all her friends every time they were together. She focused all her time and energy on him, but it just got to be too much."
Oh, it's so hard to find love when you're a young, attractive, rich famous person. It seemed like, for these two, the second time was the charm. But apparently Zayn Malik was a black hole, a region of spacetime exhibiting such strong gravitational effects that nothing can escape from inside it; not particles, not light, and not even Gigi Hadid's happiness. Hopefully they can find happiness, whether it's with each other, or with other young, attractive rich famous people.
