Instagram filters have taken the world by storm in early 2020.

From filters which tell people 'What Disney character are you?' to others which play the eternally popular 'Never Have I Ever', they are all the rage on the image-sharing platform, and now celebrities are getting in on the action too.

This is what happened when Courteney Cox tried the 'What Friends character are you?' filter:

In the hilarious clip, Cox, 55, repeatedly tries to get her character from the show, Monica Geller, but despite being the very person who played Monica, she keeps getting matched with the other characters.

Posting the clip on Instagram, she wrote: "Finally got Monica... Thought I was gonna be Ugly Naked Guy for sure! #identitycrisis."

At first, Cox was matched up with Rachel, played by the eternally gorgeous Jennifer Aniston, and she looked quite pleased with herself.

In the video below, Cox recreates the famous "PIVOT" scene for Friends fans:

However, things took a turn for the worse when she was matched up with Ross (David Schwimmer) followed by Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Chandler (Matthew Perry).

In response to the repeat fails, Jennifer Garner commented: "I was really stressed until you were you."

Anniston caused a storm on Instagram when she finally joined the platform back in September and shared a selfie with her Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.

She captioned the brilliant snap, which has since been liked over 15 million times: "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM."

Incredibly, Anniston went on to gain a whopping 24.1 million followers in a day.

So while the show might be over, and a reunion has yet to be officially confirmed, at least we can keep up with the stars of our favorite nineties TV show on Instagram.
