Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he once sent a flirtatious message to his Harry Potter co-star Helena Bonham Carter.
The cast joined forces for a one-off reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Philosopher's Stone, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Watson are just some of the familiar faces who'll be boarding the Hogwarts Express.
During the special on HBO Max, titled Return To Hogwarts, Daniel couldn't help but come clean about the major crush he had on his costar.
In the hit fantasy franchise, Radcliffe played Harry Potter, while Bonham Carter portrayed Bellatrix Lestrange.
During the special, Radcliffe said that he sent his co-star a note after wrapping up filming on the final Harry Potter film, The Deathly Hallows Part II, which was released in 2011.
Reading the message aloud, Radcliffe, who was 22 at the time, wrote to Helena, 45 at the time: "Dear HBC, it was a pleasure being your co-star and coaster in the fact I always ended up holding your coffee.
"I do love you and I wish I'd just been born ten years earlier so I might've been in with a chance."
Elsewhere in the documentary, Emma Watson described the moment she "fell in love" with Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton.
"I walked into the room where we were having tutoring," she recalled.
"The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought god looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don't how to say it – I just fell in love with him.
"I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day. He was three years above me and so for him he was like, you're like my little sister."
Despite her strong feelings toward Tom at the time, Emma stressed nothing "ever, ever, ever, happened romantically," but they "just love each other".
And although Emma tried to keep her feelings as hidden as possible, it turns out Tom was aware of his admirer.
"I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, 'Yeah, she had a crush on you,'" he said.
"I became very protective over her. Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for her and that continues to the day. There's always been something that's like, I don't know, a kinship."
The reunion - which celebrates the first film in the franchises' 20th anniversary - is set to air on New Years Day 2022.
