Jonah Hill is making waves with his striking transformation in his upcoming film, Outcome.
The 42-year-old actor, who stepped back from Hollywood in recent years, is returning to the spotlight with Apple's original dark comedy film.
The movie, which will premiere on April 10, centers on Reef Hawk (played by Keanu Reeves), a beloved Hollywood star whose career is thrown into turmoil after a blackmailer threatens to expose a damaging video.
Hill plays Ira, the crisis lawyer hired to handle the situation. Alongside Reeves and Hill, the movie features an ensemble cast including Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and a diverse group of talent such as Martin Scorsese, Laverne Cox, and David Spade.
A Drastic Transformation
The most striking aspect of the forthcoming movie's first-look images is Hill’s dramatic physical change.
In the production stills, the 21 Jump Street actor sports a completely shaved head and a gray beard, a complete contrast from the curly-haired look and youthful face that defined his early career.
One user took to X to react to the new picture of Hill and Reeves, and said: "They're saying the person on the right is Jonah Hill. The amount of double takes I've done....."
Another shocked user commented: "The very first instance where an actor is actually unrecognizable," while a third added: "He has really lost a lot of weight."
Hill’s Return to Acting and Directing
Outcome marks Hill’s return to acting after a few years away from the spotlight, during which he took time to focus on his personal life.
In his 2022 documentary Stutz, the Superbad star opened up about the anxiety attacks he faced throughout his career and how they were heightened by public-facing events, per The Independent.
His break from Hollywood also followed public controversy in 2023 when his ex-girlfriend, surfer Sarah Brady, accused him of emotional abuse, sharing screenshots of texts that allegedly showed controlling behavior. Hill has not publicly responded to the accusations.
Despite these challenges, the Wolf of Wall Street star is back in full force with two more films, which are slated for release in 2026.
Per Mashable, one of these films, Cut Off, is a dramedy about two wealthy siblings (played by Hill and Kristen Wiig) whose lives are turned upside down when their parents cut them off financially.
