Gypsy Rose Blanchard opened up about experimenting with her sexuality in order to have a "better chance of reaching climax."
In her new book, Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom, the 32-year-old detailed some of her escapades within the walls of confinement, following a discussion on her newfound freedom.
"In prison I could walk and talk about things I wanted to talk about. I got to have a job and be responsible for my own space and just meet people and learn how to make friends," she told interviewer Melissa Moore.
After stating that she went through a "goth phase", she started discussing sexuality.
"I tried to experiment with my sexuality too. I was pretty sure I was straight, but I tried anyway," Blanchard, who served eight years for the murder of her abusive mother, continued.
"Because of [the] sexual abuse I had experienced and the way my mother made me feel dirty in my own womanly body, I have a mental block that prevents me from full satisfaction. I thought perhaps if I experimented with women, I would have a better chance of reaching climax," she added.
Blanchard accused both her grandfather, Claude Pitre, and ex Nick Godejohn of abuse, claiming that it allegedly went on for about a year.
"I've gotten to a point where I can stand on my own two feet and say, this happened to me and I'm not going to let it affect me anymore," she told PEOPLE in an interview. "And that's why I'm talking about it now. And I think for me, making it known that it happened might prevent him from doing the same thing to another family member or another child or another person because he's still alive."
Pitre denied the claim and instead turned things around on Blanchard, accusing his granddaughter - who was a child at the time - of touching him inappropriately.
"She was the one that was trying to touch me, and I’d say no, don’t do that," he claimed in the docuseries Lifetime's The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. "She started doing that when she was about four years old."
In the book, Blanchard then goes to open up about what may have influenced her fluidity when it came to her sexuality.
"I think as a young girl I was exposed to watching shows like Xena: Warrior Princess - Xena and Gabrielle were lesbians - and I watched it and didn't understand it," she revealed. "When I was sixteen or so, I thought girls were pretty, so that confused me, so I thought: 'Am I gay?'"
"There's a saying here, 'Gay for the stay, straight from the gate,' so when in Rome," she then said, before revealing what happened behind bars: "I did kiss a couple girls and became a pillow princess, four times."
When asked what it meant to be a "pillow princess," she added: "If you think about it for a sec, it will make sense. Let's just say I didn't initiate."
For those of you that might not be aware, the social term generally refers to women who receive oral stimulation from other women, but generally do not reciprocate.
Despite experimenting in prison, it seems as though Blanchard is pretty satisfied (in more ways than one) in her relationship with her husband Ryan Anderson.
Taking to Instagram to defend Anderson from trolls, Blanchard revealed some intimate details about their sex life.
"Our family is who matters. If you get likes and good comments great, if you get hate then whatever because THEY DON'T MATTER. I love you," she said, before shockingly adding the X-rated confession: "Besides they jealous because you are rocking my world every night... yeah, I said it, the D is fire."
"Happy wife happy life," she concluded the comment.
At least she's happy, that's all that matters.
