Ashton Kutcher has revealed that there was no way his wife Mila Kunis was going to let him turn down a role in the new series That '90s Show.
The married couple had originally been co-stars in the 90s TV show That '70s Show. So, naturally, when the duo were given the chance to reprise their roles as Jackie and Kelso, Kunis refused to let her husband turn it down.
That '70s Show was a hit when it came out, focusing on a group of high school friends in the 1970s and their hilarious exploits.
Kunis, 39, and Kutcher, 44, both starred in the series, as well as Wilmer Valderrama and disgraced actor Danny Masterson.
Now, the show has returned under a slightly different name - That '90s Show. It has been co-developed by That '70s Show creators Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, and Mark Brazill, as well as Lindsey Turner.
In a recent interview with Esquire, Kutcher recounted the moment he and Kunis received the scripts for the new series. In fact, Kunis was so down to do it that not even a bad script would deter her.
And according to Kutcher, the Ted star insisted they both agree to the project. "[She] goes, 'You know, we owe our entire careers to this show. It doesn't matter what the script is, we're doing it,'" he said.
According to Variety, the latest show centers on the life of Leia Forman - who is the daughter of That '70s Show characters Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon). All the original cast members appear in the show.
Check out the trailer for That '90s Show:Kunis' and Kutcher's characters are also married in the reboot, something that she didn't initially like. "My husband and I are together in [the new show], which is weird because we shouldn't have been," she stated.
"You know what, I called B.S. I was like, 'My character would be with Fez [Wilmer Valderrama] I think that I ended up with Wilmer [Valderrama]'s character. And I was like [to Ashton], 'Why are you and I together?' And also, he was married when ''70s' ended to Shannon Elizabeth's character, I think," Kunis told Access Hollywood.
In the original series, Kunis' Jackie and Valderrama's Fez ended up together, despite Jackie and Kutcher's Kelso dating for a long time throughout the show (which aired from 1998 to 2006). Kelso then had a baby with Shannon Elizabeth's Brook. Kunis, however, still ships Jackie and Fez.
"Now we're like 20 years - no, 16 years later, whatever it is, and now we're married with a kid," she said about Jackie and Kelso in the latest Netflix series. "And I was like, 'I don't know about this one.'"
That '90s Show is available to stream now on Netflix.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher got their break on That 70's Show, which ran for eight seasons. Mila played snobby, self-absorbed Jackie and Ashton played dumb, oversexed Kelso. Their characters had a long-term relationship, and nine years after the show ended, the actors got married in real life.
The stars are nothing like their TV characters, but their nightmarish honeymoon was like something out of a sitcom. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Mila told the hilarious story. They planned to do an RV adventure up the California coast with their baby daughter Wyatt and Ashton's parents. But after the air conditioner broke, they were trapped in 110 degree heat with a baby.
To make matters worse, Apple Maps steered them perilously off course, onto a fire road on the side of a mountain. While Ashton's dad navigated the van over gigantic boulders, everyone else to trudge three miles in a flood. Their destination was an RV Park in Napa, but Ashton's mom chose it from an outdated guidebook. Mila said they ended up staying at "an RV park not in Napa, but an hour outside of Napa. With two prisons."

Despite the disaster, Mila said she would "absolutely" go RV'ing with Ashton again. However, she says she will never work with him again as an actor. Currently Mila is doing a promotional run for her new movie, The Spy Who Dumped Me, which also stars Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Rough Night). During an interview on Sunday TODAY, she was asked if she'd ever act in a project with her husband.
"Not going to happen. I can’t look at him and not be like ‘What are you doing?’…no it’s weird. In a scene with him I was like ‘Oh I see you acting.’ Like I can catch it… and he looked at me and was like ‘What’s that face you make?’ and I was like ‘We can’t do this.’ We can’t be together in a scene."
Well, that makes sense, although it's disappointing news. It would be great to see them star in a movie together. Just think, Ashton Kutcher could star in Black Swan 2, as Mila Kunis' new ballerina rival. And Mila Kunis could star in the proposed sequel to Dude, Where's My Car? - Seriously, Dude, Where's My Car? And she could help him find his car!
This week Mila also appeared on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. During the 90 minute interview, she revealed that she Ashton kept their relationship pretty casual in the beginning.
"I did a movie called Friends With Benefits. He did a movie that was very similar called No Strings Attached. We lived our movies out. We were just like, let’s just hook up. Let’s have fun. We’re both single. We both trust each other. Everything’s great."
Everything is great for the couple, as long as they're not RVing. Maybe she'll change her mind on acting if they do a That 70's Show reunion.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. But just because you're good-looking, rich, and head-over-heels in love, it doesn't mean that everything goes your way.
That's exactly what we all learned when the 34-year-old actress stopped by the Tonight Show to tell Jimmy Fallon the story of her honeymoon with her new husband back in 2015.
The pair seemingly have a perfect romance, starring on That '70s Show together, before becoming friends with benefits and deciding to make a go of it when they developed serious feelings for one another, getting hitched in Oak Glen, California three years ago. However, the beginning of their marriage didn't have the most romantic start. In fact, the Friends With Benefits star has named it as "absurd"
It all started with an interesting idea from Ashton. Having received an RV for his birthday from his new wife, the What Happens in Vegas actor had decided that the two should spend their honeymoon on an RV adventure, bringing along their baby daughter Wyatt and his parents to join them for a trip up to the Californian coast.

Little did they know though, the picturesque-sounding holiday wasn't going to turn out as planned. While in the motor vehicle - which Mila says Ashton deemed "the Taj Mahal of RVs due to its jacuzzis and double pop-out - the newlyweds and their family experienced their first hint of trouble when the air conditioner broke, leaving them in 110-degree heat with a baby in tow.
But things were about to get much worse, with the actress comparing the situation to the series of mishaps portrayed in the National Lampoon movies. After setting off to find a place where they could get the air conditioner repaired, things took an almost-lethal turn when Apple Maps took them off course, leading them to walk three miles in a flood.

"We almost died on the side of the road when Apple Maps took us on a road—it wasn't a road," Mila told host Jimmy Fallon. "It was a fireroad on the side of a mountain. We all had to jump out of the vehicle and walk for like three miles while my father-in-law drove the van and Ashton, like, navigated him over gigantic boulders because there had just been a massive flood."
The final cherry on top of the cake was when the family eventually made it to the RV park, which had been chosen by Ashton's mother from an out-of-date guidebook. "I'm not going to recommend any place we stayed," said Mila. "She was like 'We'll end up in Napa, it'll be beautiful' and I was like 'What could go wrong?' Let me tell you: An RV park not in Napa, but an hour outside of Napa. With two prisons."
She continued to confess that this was the moment where the couple said enough is enough, saying: "Yes, guys. That is where our RV trip ended. My husband looked at me and goes, 'I quit.' And I was like, 'Me too.'"

Amazingly, despite her nightmarish honeymoon, the Black Swan star has claimed she would "absolutely" go RVing with Ashton again. I guess love does really conquer all.

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are definitely couple goals, and they proved it once again when they gave the perfect response to unfounded breakup rumours.
Kunis and Kutcher, who have been married since 2015 and have two kids together, took to Instagram to share that they were just as surprised as we were to learn that they were breaking up, and recorded their reactions on Instagram.
It's pretty funny, to say the least:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/coAWJnWt-sKUnNGKf.mp4||coAWJnWt]]
All Kunis had was a cover image of the story - sent to her by a friend - but it was enough to send this couple into a frenzy.
"It's over between us," she said solemnly into the camera, and Kutcher replied: "Oh my god, what are we gonna do?" From there, the couple riffed on the kind of phrases the tabloid cover used. "You felt suffocated by me?" Ashton queried. "I was just so overbearing, wasn’t I?"
From there on, it was confirmed that not only had a "huge secret" been revealed about Kutcher ("It must have been really dark," mused Kutcher), but that Kunis was also taking the kids.
Look, folks, despite the constant precariousness of celebrity couplings, it looks as if Mila and Ashton are going to be together for a while. "I have the world’s greatest husband," said Kunis to E! News last year.
"I swear, I got very lucky, man," she revealed, pouring cold water on the notion of any kind of split. "I got a man that has got a lot of patience and is incredibly supportive of our family."
Well, if there are any celebrity couples out there looking for a way to quell tabloid rumours while still maintaining their dignity, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are - once again - couple goals: hilarious, to the point, and clearly able to have fun. Is there anything they can't do? I would say something snarky like "help to stop child trafficking", but... they actually already did that. Damn.

Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis have resigned from the board of their anti-child-sex-abuse organization amid criticism of their letters of support for the now-convicted rapist Danny Masterson.
The 47-year-old actor - widely known for starring as Steven Hyde in That '70s Show - was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape on September 7.
Masterson was convicted of raping two of the women between 2001 and 2003, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the third allegation, which was brought forward by a former girlfriend.
After the conviction news, it was revealed that Kutcher and Kunis - who starred alongside Masterson in That '70s Show from 1998 to 2005 - were among 50 people who wrote glowing character references for him during his trial in May.
In their statements, the 45-year-old No Strings Attached star described his co-star as a "role model" and "a person that is consistently there for you when you need him".
Similarly, his 40-year-old wife stated that Masterson was an "amazing friend, confidant, and, above all, an outstanding older brother figure to me," concluding: "His caring nature and ability to offer guidance have been instrumental in my growth both personally and professionally."
The public letters garnered excessive criticism on social media and forced the Hollywood couple to share a public apology on Instagram, explaining why the letters were sent.
"We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson," the pair said, before claiming that the Ranch actor's family asked them to write "character letters to represent the person that we knew for 25 years" so that the judge could "take that into full consideration relative to sentencing".
"The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury's ruling," Kutcher said. "They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or retraumatise them in any way, we would never want to do that and we're sorry if that has taken place."
The Black Swan actress finished the video by saying: "Our heart goes out to every single person who has ever been a victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape."
Critics questioned the appropriateness of the couple's ongoing role with the charity Thorn - which Kutcher founded with his former wife Demi Moore in 2012 - as it has become an important voice in the campaign to end the sexual exploitation of children.
Due to this, the Two and A Half Men star announced his resignation in a letter addressed to the board posted on Thorn's website on Thursday (September 14).
"After my wife and I spent several days of listening, personal reflection, learning, and conversations with survivors and the employees and leadership at Thorn, I have determined the responsible thing for me to do is resign as Chairman of the Board, effectively immediately," he wrote.
Kutcher apologized in the letter and said he "cannot allow [his] error in judgment to distract from our efforts and the children we serve," adding: "The mission must always be the priority and I want to offer my heartfelt apology to all victims of sexual violence and everyone at Thorn who I hurt by what I did."
"And to the broader advocacy community, I am deeply sorry. I remain proud of what we have accomplished in the past decade and will continue to support Thorn’s work. Thank you for your tireless advocacy and dedication to this cause," he concluded.
In addition to this, Kunis has also stepped down from her role as an observer on the board, per The Independent.
In the wake of the Kutcher-Kunis letter controversy, award-winning actress Christina Ricci shared an Instagram Story that appeared to be aimed at the couple.
The Addams Family star penned: "So sometimes people we loved and admired do horrible things. They might not do these things to us and we only know who they were to us but that doesn’t mean they didn’t do the horrible things and to discredit the abused is a crime.
"People we know as 'awesome guys' can be predators and abusers. It’s tough to accept but we have to. If we say we support victims - women, children, men, boys - then we must be able to take this stance.
"Unfortunately I’ve known lots of 'awesome guys' who were lovely to me but have been proven to be abusers privately. I’ve also had personal experience with this. Believe victims. It’s not easy to come forward. It’s not easy to get a conviction," the Yellowjackets actress concluded.
