Unless you've been living at the bottom of a very long, dark hole for the past 30 years, you'll know that Mariah Carey is a bona fide queen who takes the rules, bends them to her liking, then leaves everyone gaping as she finds her next fabulous thing to do.

Case in point: the Bottle Cap Challenge.

For the past few weeks, people online have been attempting to effortlessly open the cap of a bottle with a single kick of their foot (no hands allowed) - and it's gone better for some than others.

Remember Mariah's iconic Billboard Awards 2019 speech? If not, you need to watch it again. To be honest, even if you remember it, click play:

But Mariah Carey doesn't need to kick the bottle cap to know she's a queen. On Sunday, the Touch My Body singer removed the cap with the sheer force of her piercing vocals - because, why wouldn't she?

In a video posted to Instagram, the 49-year-old put one finger to her ear before letting out one of the insanely high whistle-tone notes we know and love her for.

Of course, the bottle cap fell to the ground immediately, and we live to serve Mariah always.

Within 16 hours of posting, the footage had received over three million views, and thousands upon thousands of adoring comments from fans.

The Hero singer's ex-husband Nick Cannon was a massive supporter of the video, writing "Hilarious!!!!!" while actress Ruby Rose said: "This is what they call a win."

"What did we do to deserve this content omg," wrote Instagrammer @justdarcythings, with @mica_arroya adding: "QUEEEEEEEEEEN".

Mariah is certainly no stranger to dominating online challenges. Back in January 2019, she smashed the viral 10-Year Challenge by posting two identical pictures of herself side-by-side and writing: "I don't get this 10 year challenge, time is not something I acknowledge. ?‍♀️ *Picture taken at some point prior to today."

Keep on wearing that crown, Mariah.
