Netflix has finally released a teaser for the long-awaited third series of You.
The teaser reveals that Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn are having a baby boy. Joe narrates through the clip and says that he doesn't want Henry to behave like him.
As the US psychological TV thriller returns, it looks like we'll finally get some answers to the last scene from the previous season.
The ultra-popular series is set to officially return on October 15, and will chronicle Penn Badgley’s character Joe as he settles into life as a husband and new father.
Joe’s wife will be played by Victoria Pedretti, who starred as Love in season 2. But with Love just as much of a killer as Joe, he begins to feel trapped by someone who understands him so well.
"People these days will name their kids anything to get attention,” the cryptic teaser opens, narrated by Goldberg.
"And despite your mother’s background and your Glamma’s determination to refer to you as Forty reincarnated, I know better. A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting and not without… challenges. Let’s just say, I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do," he adds.
"But for you, I can change, I'll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call dad."
As for the baby's name? Joe decides on Henry, which is "classic but not basic."
"Choosing your name is the first of a lifetime of decisions I'll make to give you the best life possible," Joe promises his son. "To protect you, to shape who you will become. Who are you going to be, Henry?"
The second season ended with Love's brother, Forty, figuring out serial killer Joe's identity - and more importantly, what he'd done. After finding out, Forty decided to go after Joe himself.
However, just before he was able to pull the trigger to get rid of Joe forever, a cop who had been tailing them shot Forty, killing him - meaning that Joe is once again a free man.
Netflix also released a description for the hit show's chilling third season. "Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they're surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers," a press release states.
"Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, but fears Love's lethal impulsiveness."
You season three will also star Saffron Burrows, Tati Gabrielle, Dylan Arnold, Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Scott Speedman, Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Menhl, Chris O'Shea and Christopher Sean.
