Boredom is at an all-time high amid the pandemic, which is why various companies are taking steps to alleviate it.
Over the last few months, we have seen online classes offered for free, Broadway shows being streamed for nothing, and there's even a Hogwarts-themed escape room that you can play online.
Now, Playstation Plus has made 'Call of Duty: WWII' free from starting today. It's the news gamers didn't know they needed, specifically, PlayStation Plus subscribers, who will be able to download the game absolutely free of charge from today.
Watch the trailer for the game below:As hardcore fans of the franchise will know, Call of Duty: WWII was actually released back in 2017. This isn't a random giveaway either, but as part of PlayStation Plus's free games lineup for June.
It's not currently known what other games will be included in the lineup, but they are expected to be announced over the coming days, with Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 already available to download for free.
Generally speaking, Call of Duty: WWII s a realistic game, but it's certainly not short of interesting features including the Prop Hunt on multiplayer or its phenomenal Zombie Mode.
Destructoid's Chris Moyse described the game as "one of the best-looking and feature-packed iterations of the franchise to date", but he admitted that while it'll "please a huge contingent of its dedicated fanbase… its reliance on the status quo might be wearying for others."
Meanwhile, Miranda Sanchez of IGN wrote: "Whether you're crawling through the trenches in the campaign's D-Day landing, fighting on the competitive battlefields, or lopping off gruesome undead soldiers' heads in Nazi Zombies, Call of Duty: WWII offers a surprisingly fast-paced and fun World War II experience."
However, when it comes to Call of Duty games, there's no doubt that the sensation of the moment is Call of Duty: Warzone, which has attracted over 60 million players since its launch in March.
In fact, the game hit the headlines earlier this month when its developers finally confirmed that duos are coming.
