Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have come together after their divorce to mourn the death of their beloved family dog.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Brady, 46, posted two photos so his Stories. The first showed two of his children — Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, - snuggling the pup alongside a heartbreaking caption that read: "We love you Lua RIP," with three heart emojis and a prayer hands emoji too.
The follow-up photo was a single shot of the pet, which included another caption that read: "Forever in our hearts" with yet another heart emoji.
Bündchen, 43, also took to Instagram to post her own tribute to their beloved dog following Brady’s Stories.
"Our little Lulu, our guardian angel is gone to heaven. She will forever live in our hearts. We already miss her sooooo much! #unconditionallove RIPLua," she wrote in the caption alongside three photos of the puppy.
The first showed the model hugging Lua, snuggling right into her fur, while the other two were heartwarming photos of the dog.
Hundreds of fans took to the comments to comfort the star during this difficult time including Peta who commented: "Our hearts ache for the loss of your beloved Lulu. We extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. May the cherished memories of Lulu bring you comfort, and may her spirit forever reside in your heart."
"Oh! I’m so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful angel! I lost my furry son Junior a few months ago and I know he’ll always be with me. Sending love to you and family," added another user.
A third social media user also stated: "It is the worst pain. What a beautiful tribute."
While both Brady and Bündchen may still be separated during this time, fans were glad to see them opn the same page after their highly-publicized divorce.
Earlier this year, the Brazilian model and NFL veteran confirmed that they would be parting ways after 13 years of marriage.
The couple announced their split in separate Instagram posts, with Bündchen writing: "With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce.
"My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care, and attention they deserve," she continued.
"The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," she added.
At the same time, Brady also posted a statement to his 14.6 million followers, which read: "In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together."
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback then added: "We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.
"We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration," he concluded. "We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you."
