The influencer who caused controversy on social media after tattooing her boyfriend's name across her forehead has claimed it's not a prank.

In case you missed it, a 27-year-old content creator named Ana Stanskovsky permanently stamped her partner Kevin's name on her forehead in a move most lovebirds would refuse to even consider.

The ink-obsessed influencer documented her extreme display of love in footage shared on her online platforms, and it has now amassed a staggering 23.6 million views on TikTok.

The astonishing clip showcased the stenciling and inking stages and captured Ana's grimaces as the tattoo needle worked just below her hairline in bold, giant, black lettering. Upon completion, she smiled at her reflection in the mirror as she admired the latest addition.

Of course, many stunned users voiced their disapproval in the comments section, with one user writing: "Wow you will regret this one day," while another asked: "And if he [breaks up] with you what then?"

However, other body-art enthusiasts were skeptical of Ana and questioned whether her over-the-top tat was just simply a staged stunt for social media attention.

One doubtful critic commented: "It’s a prank. There’s no blood or redness," and a second chimed in: "The needle isn't moving. why isn't it red and inflamed when it's done."

A third remarked: "People who think this is real have obviously never gotten a tattoo."

However, in a series of subsequent clips, the influencer responded to the shocked commenters and insisted that her controversial tat is, in fact, authentic.

In one particular TikTok, Ana shared a response to the comment: "Wow you will regret this one day," and made it clear that despite the backlash, every time she looks in the mirror she is "in love".

"I'm in love with the tattoo and I'm in love with my boyfriend," she declared. "I think if you really love someone, you've just got to show it you know, you've just got to prove it."

She also went on to advise guys that their significant others should follow suit. "If your girlfriend doesn’t wanna tattoo your name on her face...you just need to find yourself a new girlfriend because I don't think she loves you," she said.

"This is the way you're showing your love, you know," the social media star continued. "I know many of you said I'm gonna regret that and what if we break up and all of this stuff, all of this horrible stuff and I just wanna say this is how I'm expressing my feelings so if I love someone, I'm doing this."

"I'm loving it, I'm definitely never gonna regret that. How can I regret this? It's beautiful," she concluded.

The TikToker's boyfriend - who the alleged 'tattoo' is dedicated to - is believed to be fellow influencer Kevin Freshwater, who boasts over 400,000 followers on Instagram.

Even though the hopeless romantic hasn't posted a clip of her partner's reaction to her ink, she made a third video that showed her eating out in a restaurant, with her fresh tattoo still brandished across her head.

Once again, Ana tried to plead her case and said: "I don't know why people don't believe me, this tattoo is real. I'm literally eating my spaghetti in a restaurant."

However, cyber critics are still not convinced that the tattoo is real.
