'SWAG' procedure men are getting to secretly enlarge their penises
Men are injecting their penises with a treatment called ‘SWAG’ in order to increase the size of their junk, but is it actually safe?
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the doctor behind it all believes it is.
The SWAG procedure that men are using to increase their penis size
It’s a tale as old as time - many men aren’t happy with the size of their genitalia.
While some people say it doesn’t matter, and others say it really does, you can only play with the instrument you’ve got.
However, there are ways to - if we’re going to torture that analogy - tune it slightly differently.
That means that in the days of the ‘manosphere’ and ‘looksmaxxing’ people are on the hunt for ways that they can give themselves and extra inch here or there.
Which is where Dr. David Schafer comes in.
He’s a plastic surgeon working out of Manhattan, and he told the New York Post that queries about this sort of thing are commonplace.
He explained: “Patients, I think, late at night are Googling, ‘How can I increase the size of my penis?'”
An expert in Botox, Schafer has been helping these late-night enquirers get what they crave by injecting filler into their privates, adding width and girth.
He’s become synonymous with it, so much so that the procedure is known as ‘Schafer Width and Girth’.
SWAG - get it?
It all started from a patient question
When a man came to Schafer to ask if he could have Botox injected into his penis, the doctor couldn’t hide his curiosity.
After this initial man volunteered as a guinea pig, he came back for more later on, and that opened up the floodgates.
It’s not a cheap procedure - between $10,000 and $20,000 a time - and subsequent maintenance injections are around half again.
He’s done over 8,000 of them, with each one taking around 10 minutes for the numbing agent and around 10 to 20 minutes for the under-skin injection.
Explaining how the treatment goes, Schafer said: “We put local anesthesia right at the base of the penis,
“It’s similar to when you’re at the dentist and you get a shot in your gums, and then your teeth go numb.”
So, what is the filler?
It’s hyaluronic acid, a substance that the body actually produces naturally, although some ski jumpers have also reportedly been putting it to similar use recently.
Initially, it gives extra girth, but because of the weight of this heavy filler, the skin stretches so flaccid length often increases.
On the classic ‘shower vs grower’ debate, Schafer added: “The other change that can occur over time is people who are more of a ‘grower’ tend to be more of a ‘shower’ because the weight of the filler holds the penis more in an ‘out’ position, and so they get less of that ‘shrinkage’ when it’s cold.”
Unfortunately for the patients, it doesn’t last forever, but it does last for two years, being ‘topped off’ by around a third or half more.
In terms of safety, Schafer has to be very ‘realistic’ with the boundaries of what he can inject, while also making sure his patients ‘keep touch with reality’.
He’s not a miracle worker, basically.
There are risks involved, including potential for lumps to develop, and the need for the filler to settle properly.
That means no sex for a week after a procedure.
Other potential issues include minor swelling, tenderness, and bruising.
There is the potential for error and side-effects that are more serious, but so far nothing has gone drastically wrong for Schafer.
The process will improve in future too, the doctor believes. “I think we’re going to get much more long-lasting and natural results when these come out, which will be a nice improvement,” Shafer concluded.
