Ah, Aldi. What else I can I say about Aldi that hasn't already been said before? Delicious food, great prices, all just a short car or bus ride away. What's not to like? But in every enjoyable activity, there is - of course - room for improvement, even if that improvement is just a way of squeezing every drop of enjoyment out of it.
So while Aldi is amazing, there's ways to hack your experience to get the absolute utmost out of it. Interested? Well, why don't we dive in? If you are anything like me, you have certain days where you like to hit up the grocery store.
Some people will go after a long day at work, acutely aware they've got nothing in the fridge for dinner. Others will rock up on a Saturday or Sunday morning, braving the long lines and traffic to ensure they've got enough food to last them through the week. At Aldi, though, there remains a special day to get your shopping done, and a special reason why.

I am unsure how many of you knew this, but Aldi's main headquarters are located in Batavia, Illinois, and were you to take a trip there, you might benefit from some local knowledge from the head honchos up there. While they were more than happy to point out things like Girl Scout-esque cookies and an honest-to-God 7UP cake, it might also be interesting to learn that you should try and head to an Aldi on a Wednesday.
Why's that, you ask? Well, apparently, all those weird and wonderful innovations you all so love are, in fact, first debuted on a Wednesday. On the whole, Aldi's shelves get a nice little refresh during the middle of the week, so the mad scientists thinking up new Aldi products get to see the fruits of their labour on shelves usually on that day.
On any given Wednesday, you're likely to see around 40 to 50 additions at your local Aldi, and this weekly shelf refresh is especially important for seasonal items - like, say, back-to-school items like college dorm room decor, or lunchboxes for the little'uns. It's also when you're most likely to see test items like the organic fruit juices. What's not to like?

It's important to note, though, that like the random sporting gear you can occasionally pick up, this isn't one-size-fits all: depending on where you go, the date of this Aldi refresh may change. Legend has it that some locations will instead put out new product on Sundays instead.
So how is this poor Aldi lover to know which day to come in on? That's simple, my friends: just ask a member of Aldi staff when the Aldi Insider weekly ad comes out; that day's likely to correspond to the day when new Aldi products arrive. To that end, friends: good luck in your Aldi travails. Whether you need to make some time during the week or wake up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday, be sure to head to your local Aldi.
I guarantee you will not regret it.

Shoppers have been left rather bemused and annoyed as it would appear there is no time to rest after Christmas - because Easter has already hit supermarket shelves!
After Christmas, sometimes a well-deserved break is in order to get over the excessive amount of food and drink that has been consumed during the festive December days.
There's a good chance that a lot of people are still working through the leftovers from the big day because after all, there's no point letting anything go to waste.
But sometimes, chocolate can be an Achilles heel, and what is heaven while eating it, can come back to haunt us as we're sat there unable to move after consuming too much.
In those circumstances, the last thing that we want to see is chocolate in the stores as far as the eye can see... But some places have done just that.
With Easter just around the corner (if the corner is four months long), stores are already lined with Easter Eggs in an effort to tempt customers for the next Christian holiday.
It's safe to say, the decision to move on from Christmas to Easter so quickly has not sat very well with some shoppers, and they have taken to social media to air their complaints.
One person wrote: "@Tesco, going big on Easter Eggs 4 days after Christmas Day (photo taken in your Bethnal Green [UK] store this afternoon) is…. Well, it’s just p***ing everybody off. Any thoughts?"
Rupa Huq, a Member of Parliament in the UK wrote: "It’s still definitely December and well within the #12DaysOfChristmas but Tesco Ealing Broadway shelves full of Easter eggs and bunnies as far as the eye can see?!"
Another person added: "Reese’s Easter eggs are on my local grocery store’s shelves. Are you f’ng kidding me?"
A fourth Twitter user concluded: "Christmas is over so the Easter Eggs are on the supermarket shelves."
Even the biggest chocolate lovers in the world must admit that seeing Easter Eggs on the shelves feels a bit premature... Or maybe having this wide array of chocolate on offer for months can only be seen as a positive?
What are your thoughts on Easter coming early? Let us know in the comments!

In case you were still somehow unaware of this undeniable truth: Aldi is going hard this festive season.
Just last week we brought you information on their magical-looking Harry Potter advent calendar, which I'm personally going to be completely devastated by if no-one buys it for me.
In fact, if no-one does end up buying it for me, I'm just going to have to go right ahead and buy it for myself, because frankly I could do with all the joy and happiness I can get in the winter months.
Check out Sophie Turner chug a glass of red wine on the jumbotron at MSG:

The description for the Potter-themed Christmas countdown reads;
"You're never too old for an advent calendar, so why not treat the Harry Potter fans (young and old!) in your life for the run up to Christmas this year. They'll love waking up each day and discovering what is hidden for them in the unique rotating box. From exclusive plush toys, to one of a kind charms, there's something inside for every Harry Potter fan, making it the perfect gift for any Wizarding World fan. Whatsmore, it's completely reusable each year!"
Why. Not. Treat. Them. Indeed...
If Harry Potter isn't really your scene (how dare you?), then perhaps I can pique your interest with news of another tantalising advent calendar.
I'm talking, of course, about Aldi's very own wine advent calendar, which first made its way stateside last year to much fanfare and adoration.
So let's break this down into the salient points, since I can almost sense your excitement already. It's called the Festive Collection Wine Advent Calendar. It's chock full of 24 mini bottles of red, white rosé and sparkling wines, and it costs $69.99, which I'm sure you'll concur is not at all bad for two dozen miniature bottles of wine.

Now, here's the really important bit. Per Aldi's Instagram account, the calendar goes on sale on November 6 - otherwise known as this Wednesday!
Back in October, Aldi wrote on Instagram;
"Let the countdown begin! On 11/6, ALDI advent calendars return and are better than ever! ?️ ? Whether you’re shopping for the wine lover, the cheese enthusiast, the beer devotee, or the chocolate connoisseur, we’ve got unique advent calendars that’ll get anyone in the holiday spirit! ? Visit our website for all the details and be sure to follow along to our Instagram story tonight for a sneak peek! ?"
Well, now the week has finally rolled around. Let the advent calendar fun commence!

Now that the sun is starting to peek through the clouds, a lot of us are gearing up for what will hopefully be a glorious summer.
And for a lot of people, a real summer highlight is that precious time spent with friends and family in the garden.
But when the sun eventually goes down in the evening, you could benefit from getting your hands on Aldi's hugely popular outdoor burner.
The Gardenline log burner is so popular, in fact, that it has already sold out online. But you will only have to wait until Thursday 2 May to purchase one in stores.
The device, made from 'robust steel', is selling for a reasonable £59.99 ($80).
Customers are also being drawn in by the aesthetic of the log burner which offers a 360° view of the fire and measures approximately 94 x 82 x 45cm.
"Make the most of your garden day and night with this Outdoor Log Burner," the product description states. "Wave goodbye to chilly evenings outside and hello to a cosy place by the fire.
"Durable and stylish, the black and bronze finished Outdoor Wood Burner has been made with a robust steel frame and is latticed in a steel mesh to help guard against any wayward flames. Please note this product will require a 2 person lift."
Considering what a big hit the log burner was last year, it's no wonder the supermarket chain has made it available once more.
Based on the impressive sales and numerous rave reviews, the product was very well-received by Aldi customers.
"I bought this two weeks ago, I love it," one customer wrote. "It's well worth the money and looks more expensive than what I paid, I'm really pleased with my purchase."
"Such great value garden log burner, looks great and does the job!" another chimed in "So glad I ordered online as they flew off the shelves."
"I bought this log burner a couple of weeks ago and I just love it!" added another. "My family and friends were very impressed, everyone can sit around it and keep warm, just the job for those chilly nights, very happy with my purchase, thank you Aldi for another extremely good value product."

Now that it's been a full week since Halloween and my neighbours are yelling at me to take down my Jack O'Lanterns, I can no longer deny the fact that the holiday season, and Christmas, is here. No more can I groan at the decorations on shop windows, no longer can I complain when that Mariah Carey song blares on speakers all day.
But it's not all bad, I guess.
Sweater weather has well and truly arrived, and now that I can finally send my summer bod to the scrapheap, it's once again socially acceptable for me to eat a ton of food and slowly become more rotund. That means delightfully carby dinners, it means lots of hot chocolate and wine, and it also means advent calendars.
At any other point in the calendar year, eating chocolate first-thing in the morning would be the kind of action that would get you weird stares from your coworkers. Now, when I begin my day with my morning coffee and chocolate, instead of aggressively flirting with diabetes, I'm just in the holiday spirit!
Now, chocolate's great, but what if you could have Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to help you to count down the days until Christmas? That hypothetical is actually... not, uh, very hypothetical at all, because Reese's have seen fit to come up with just that, and with holiday season round the corner, I'm very glad they have done.
Now, usually, we have to go all the way to Target or Walmart in order to hear about these amazing alternative advent calendars, but not for the last time, you'd be rewarded for deciding to stay inside and try online shopping instead. If you happen to be looking for chocolate on Amazon like me, you would have noticed this interesting item for sale.
Mixing different flavours of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with exotic flavours of Reese's Pieces to go with it, this advent calendar is all the peanut buttery goodness you'll need to get you through the long winter nights, surrounded by your family. Plus, with a retail price of just $19.99, it's barely going to make a dent in your wallet, so you'll have plenty of cash left for Christmas gifts.
Social media, unsurprisingly, loves the idea. Just look at this delighted son of a gun, his beaming face lit up even further by the dull orange glow of a Reese's advent calendar:
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/Melvinodoom/status/1058006732058828800]]
Melvin Odoom isn't the only delighted one, either. Plenty more have tweeted about this most incredible of advent calendars, and there are no Scrooges to be seen here:

[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/GigaTitan26/status/1059132249189289985]]
Well, folks - there we have it! Christmas is well and truly here, and even if you're a massive Grinch or Scrooge, I think you'll find room in your cold heart (and empty stomach) for the Reese's advent calendar. With all that delicious in just one box, who could resist?

If you're like me, you find it difficult to shop for Father's Day. Socks and ties are boring. Snacks and alcohol are a safe bet, but not very creative. Money always works, but how do you know your dad/father figure will spend it on something fun, and not waste it on responsible nonsense, like paying the bills? (Laaaaame!)
Well, if your dad eats red meat, Aldi has you covered this Father's Day (which is June 16, by the way). The supermarket chain known for amazing deals has launched its biggest ever rump steak, which tips the scales at an impressive 28oz. It can feed a family of four, or one very hungry dad. (Buy two of them just to be safe!)
Aldi's 28oz BIGGER Daddy Rump Steak will sell for just $10 (£7.99), but there is one catch. You can't purchase this bad boy now, or online. It's only available to buy in Aldi stores, starting Thursday, June 13. Demand will be high for the limited item, but I'm sure you'll figure out a way to get it - if not, that means you don't love your dad!
"This premium British rump steak is an example of Aldi's commitment to offering quality, locally-sourced products at amazing low prices, once again allowing customers to make substantial savings on luxury products without compromise," Aldi said in a statement.
The retailer is also bringing back 16oz Big Daddy Rump Steaks for $6 (£4.99). (And of course, they sell socks, if you want to give your father a boring present that proves you're a total disappointment.)
