A man was left in shock after a woman invited 16 other men to their date.
TikTok user Pea Kay from London matched with the woman on Hinge and decided to go on his first date in over a year – but it did not go to plan.
Kay filmed the start of the extremely unusual date and uploaded it to TikTok with the caption: "When you go on a date and she invited 16 guys."
The video opens with him standing in a beer garden, where he explains to the camera: "As you guys know I am pretty bad at dating, but I actually decided to go on a date, which I haven't done in like a year, and this is what happened. This is not a joke by the way."

He turns the camera to the woman's friend who says, "I'm the friend, I was forced to be here," before turning to "the date who arrived before him".
"So that's the second person on the date," he says, before moving onto "person number three."
The man then films the woman who had orchestrated the mass date, and she explains: "I invited everyone that I matched with on Hinge, so here you are. I hope you get along."
In the end, 17 men turned up in a bid to win over the woman and that includes TikToker Kay.
His video went viral after it was posted to TikTok, garnering almost 300K views at the time of writing, and people in the comments section were not impressed with the woman's behavior.
The most popular comment read: "This is just the most arrogant and disrespectful thing. I would have left immediately... this is not ok."
A second wrote: "Doing this as a 'quirky surprise' is so incredibly insensitive to others time and feelings. feels v narcissistic [sic]."
A third added: "What I'm so confused she just got a bunch of people to come and meet her for a date? What in the good complex????? [sic]"
However, not everyone was so critical, and a fourth TikTok user wrote: "I don't know if I'm jealous of this move, or if it's insane."
Kay went on to explain in a series of follow-up TikToks how he got to know the woman, who has now been dubbed "Hinge girl" by the internet.
He said that when they matched, he sent her a message which left her less than impressed.
It read: "Hey, congratulations on matching with Pea, this is a fantastic achievement and, if you don't get any further don't worry, you've done a great job."
She then replied saying: "Sorry, I didn't even mean to like you, it was a mistake."
However, the two went on to chat on the app and eventually WhatApp before she invited him to the mass first date.
He explained that he realized something was wrong when he turned up for the date and saw a woman and another man who claimed to be his date's "cousins".
The man eventually explained that he was "the first date, and you're the second date", but despite how bizarre the situation was, he actually felt like he was getting on well with the woman and had a "shot".
He then discovered that she had already kissed one of the 16 other men there - a man he had assumed wasn't a threat.
The video series ended with him answering the big question: will there be a second date?
"No," he replied. "If I had any self-respect I would have left at that first moment I knew that this was basically some f***ed up dating situation.
"But being locked up for a year, I kind of embraced the whole situation. So then even after all this s*** and the weirdest night of my entire life – or thereabouts – the next day I was texting her. Like wtf is wrong with me. Who does that?"
