Brooklinn Khoury has revealed the results of her latest reconstructive surgery.

On Thursday (February 16), the 23-year-old posted a series of photos on her Instagram page of her face after her most recent - and hopefully final - procedure.

The professional skateboarder has now undergone several reconstructive surgeries after losing her upper lip and part of her nose when she was attacked by a pit bull in November 2020.

Speaking to People about the devastating incident, Brooklinn explained that she was at her cousin's home when she went to pet their eight-year-old dog named Diesel.

Check out the post from her November surgery below:

"I was like, 'You're such a good boy.' He literally sprung from a sitting position like onto my face," she told the outlet. "I was standing, and he was sitting - he literally just sprung up. And he was literally, hanging - literally like arms, legs hanging off of my lip."

"And my first instinct was like, 'Oh my God, get on the ground with him, hold his head, go wherever he goes,'" she stated. "Finally, I felt a release. And then, something flew and hit the wall," Brooklinn said, adding that she realized it was her lip on the floor.

Her first surgery to improve the appearance of her lip didn't happen until one year later, in November 2021. The surgery was 20 hours and doctors performed a skin graft, removing the skin and an artery from her arm and attaching it to her mouth to create a new lip.

Over a year later, Brooklinn was scheduled for another surgery and she hopes it is the final one in her long journey. She spoke to People before the big day and explained what this procedure means for her and her self-confidence.

"Basically, my doctor is recreating the top lip in this surgery - creating a Cupid's bow and central columns. So kind of making my lip look more aesthetic," she said, noting that her surgeries typically take all day to complete. "My doctor's very cautious and wants to do everything perfectly."

The skateboarder informed the outlet that the healing process could take up to six weeks and added that she won't be able to feel her upper lip right after the surgery because it will take up to four months to be patched.

After her successful procedure, Brooklinn took to the social media platform to share with her 363K followers photos from her hospital bed. She also wrote: "The surgery yesterday went really well! My surgeon was able to accomplish what he planned to do."

"He recreated the central columns, the lip, and the cupids bow. I'm very swollen right now, but once the swelling goes down it will look amazing. Thank God," she added.

Many users shared their praises after hearing her good news, with one joyful person writing: "Thank you so much for sharing your journey! May you continue to heal throughout the process!"

While the model stated that her doctor at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is a perfectionist, she also said that after the horrific attack, she hasn't had any expectations of how she wants her face to look after each surgery.

"My personal hope, just like any surgery that I do, is just learning to love what I see," she told People. "Before, I just focused on such little things that didn't even matter."

"Like for instance, I had a zit on my upper lip right when the attack happened, and I remember being so insecure about it. And then 15 minutes later, my entire lip was gone," she added.

She is looking ahead to a brighter future and said that she is ready to put these surgeries behind her and go back to her life before the incident.

"That's one of the hardest things is just having to sit still and kind of refocus my attention into not being active and hiking, biking, surfing, and skating," she said. "But we're almost at the finish line."
