A woman who was recently pregnant with triplets has stunned social media after sharing images of her strikingly large baby bump.
Michella Meier-Morsi, who hails from Copenhagen, Denmark, documented her pregnancy journey on Instagram by posting pictures of her bump, which looks noticeably different from the stereotypically round, ball-shaped pregnancy belly.
Her bump also began to turn purple and was covered in bruises in the final few weeks of her pregnancy.
Days before she was due to give birth via cesarean section, Michella took to Instagram and opened up about not feeling "ready" for her triplets.
She wrote [translated]: "I seriously do not feel ready for three babies. I naively thought that I would get ready at some point – that I would feel a joy that the pregnancy is coming to an end and that we would finally meet our trio.
"But if it were not for the extreme pain, the triplets would have stayed inside my womb for at least another month. It all just feels so overwhelming."
Michella went on to say that she wanted to "curl up in a corner and sob over how unimaginable it all seemed."
The night before giving birth, Michella shared with her 287,000 followers that she was feeling "insanely scared."
She said: "I'm so insanely scared and insanely tearful, I started crying wildly when they called from the hospital earlier today to give us information on where to go, what to eat before, etc.
"It feels so unreal to have three babies inside me, and it's like my head can not handle it. I simply can not imagine it or them."
She opened up about her previous pregnancy, which also involved a cesarean section - a procedure that ended up being a bad experience for her.
In any case, Michella did eventually welcome three healthy newborns named Charles, Theodore, and Gabriel on January 15 via a c-section. The mom-of-five, who also shares two daughters with her husband Mark, was just over 35 weeks pregnant at the time.
Despite her fears, she revealed in yet another post that the birth went far better than she thought it would, and was certainly smoother than her previous pregnancy.
Congratulations to Michella and Mark on the latest additions to their beautiful family!
