It might still be September, but brands are already positioning themselves for the big Christmas push, and it's fair to say that there are some absolutely cracking products out there already ahead of the festive season.

Just this week, we've heard tell of a candy cane gin liqueur from Aldi, which purportedly tastes of vanilla and peppermint and sounds perfect for those long winter nights around a roaring fire, perhaps while going through your annual ritual of watching Elf for the 1,589th time.

Talking of Elf, there's also a Buddy the Elf-themed Christmas wreath on sale on Etsy, and, I mean, just look at it:

If you get hungry, Aldi has announced that it's bringing what is purportedly the United Kingdom's longest piece of meat - a 2 metre pig in blanket which is definitely designed for sharing.

At this point, you're probably thinking, "well that's all well and good, vt, but what am I going to have as a cheeky little sweet snack in between bites of sausage?"

Thankfully, I now have the festive-themed answer of your dreams to that particular question, after it was revealed that Nestlé Toll House is releasing Grinch-themed cookies.

Delish reports that the product comes in the form of ready-to-bake cookie dough, is a vivid shade of green and comes flecked with edible read candy hearts.

"We predict your heart will grow three sizes as you fall in love with the new Nestlé Toll House Pinch of Grinch Cookie Dough," said Nestlé, and let's face it, they're probably right.

The sweet treats will available from retailers like Target and Kroger at the beginning of October, and are here to stay until the end of 2019 (or until we've eaten them all).

Delish further reports that the grinch-inspired dough will retail for $2.99. 2019 looks set to be the Christmas of the movie-themed product, and personally, I'm fully sold.
