An escort has opened up about the mortifying moment a family member tried to book her services - and how she handled the awkward situation.
Jade Blair, a sex worker from Australia, shares details about her line of work on TikTok to her over 136,000 followers, including how she handled the one situation no escort would like to face.
Answering a follower's question on what she'd do if a family member tried to book her services, she revealed that she'd actually tackled that particular horrifying scenario in the past.
She explained: "When it happened, I was a lot younger and I was working in Sydney in a brothel.
"Now these are completely legal there and I originally live in Brisbane, so I had to fly to Sydney and I'd stay there for a week and then fly back and stay at home and have a rest for a week.
"I did this specifically so it would be less likely for people in my real life to stumble across me, because I don't know anyone in Sydney."
She revealed that in the brothel she worked in, the men would be taken into a room where the ladies would come out one by one and introduce themselves, and then the man would be able to "pick whichever lady he'd like to see."
Jade explained: "Now, there are cameras so when the clients come in we can see them in the ladies' room to decide if we want to go out or not.
"However, unfortunately in most places these cameras don't work. And I wasn't too worried, because again, I was in Sydney - I didn't really know anyone there.
"But this guy came in, I went out, I introduced myself and he looks just like my uncle."
She admitted: "Now, I'm not 100 percent sure because this uncle I had only met a handful of times in my life when I was a kid, and I've only seen a handful of photos of him from when he was a lot younger as well, so I don't have any common reference for what he looks like, but I did look him up on Facebook and he was actually in Sydney."
Jade revealed that her co-workers were divided on whether the client did indeed look like her uncle in the photos, but she refused to see him regardless.
She added: "And you bet, he wanted to book me. Of course I said no, he looked so close to my uncle that even if it wasn't my uncle, I wouldn't feel comfortable booking him, like it would just be so awkward.
"This guy was also very, very intoxicated so I don't think he would have recognized me at all. If it was him, I don't think he had any clue, so I just said I am not seeing him and I think the management just made up a lie saying that I felt sick, I was tired and went home.
"So that was the end of it, he decided he didn't want to book someone else and he just left."
She revealed that she has put further precautions in place to prevent a similarly uncomfortable situation from happening again, explaining: "Now I work for and by myself, I do require that clients send me a recent and clear face photo before they book me so I can see them before I ever give out any details of my address.
"And if it was someone I knew - I have had friends from university and even from high school try to book me - I usually just simply decline.
"It is obviously less awkward when it is a friend versus a potential family member, but even then it's just - I don't feel comfortable with it, there's too much history, they probably feel like I can give them some freebies.
"They just know too much about me, I don't feel like I could give them a proper professional service - I'd get too awkward, so I've always just politely declined and recommended one of my friends instead."
