A woman who admittedly found herself in a "toxic" relationship has taken to social media to share a series of videos explaining the "red flags" she became aware of, all in an effort to stop others from making the same mistake.

Devin Allen is the co-founder of the breakup advice blog d.i.y BreakUp, and has now gone viral on TikTok after revealing all the signs she wishes she'd recognized sooner after being forced to break off her engagement from her fiancé just 90 days prior to their wedding.

In the first video, Allen describes her ex as a "piece of work" as she revealed the first "red flag".

Check out the first video below:

Allen explains how the couple was in bed one night, when out of nowhere her partner was sent a video of a woman's breasts from somebody he had saved in his phone as a male friend that Allen knew.

Her ex then claimed that his friend was having an affair with a woman they used to know at school, and that he was sending him videos to "show off".

Believing this story, Allen explains that she was appalled by his "friend's" actions, and then continued with their night.

In her second video - captioned "Gaslighting 101" - Allen tells the story of a time she went to meet her ex and their friends at a bar, only to find him sat with another woman with his hand on her thigh. The ex then immediately removed his hand and went to the bathroom.

Despite "catching him red-handed", Allen says that she didn't want him to "explode" or "embarrass" her in front of their friends (which she adds is another red flag), so left it until they got home before raising the issue with him.

However, in response, her ex said that Allen was the one being "sneaky" by not telling him what time she was going to be at the bar, and that he was unsure he could marry somebody that "didn't trust him".

Allen then said that she apologized and that was the end of it.

In the third video, Allen explains that she has woken up horrendously ill one day and couldn't stop throwing up. However, her ex kept telling her that she was faking and that she was doing it for attention.

After having to fight her ex to take her to the emergency room, Allen then explains how he pulled over for "food" and made her wait for 45 minutes in the car while he went and saw his "side chick" at the place where she worked.

When they arrived at the hospital, Allen's ex continued to tell the staff how she was "faking" being sick - despite the fact she was seen right away, required two doctors, and needed three IVs.

I can't help but agree with the TikTok user who commented: "That's not a Red Flag lol. That is God and the entire universe yelling RUN!!!!!!!"

There is no doubt Allen got out of what was definitely a toxic relationship, and I can only hope her stories help raise some red flags for anybody who has found themselves in the same situation.
