People on social media have been left "horrified" after a social media user shared "proof" that Scar ate his brother Mufasa in Disney's 1994 animated classic, The Lion King.
Cast your mind back to your childhood. Can you remember watching The Lion King for the very first time? The incredible soundtrack? The gripping Shakespearean storyline? The hilarious duo of Timon and Pumbaa?
Well, there's no doubt that all of those things can be forgotten due to the unbearable grief we all felt when we saw the evil Scar betray his brother, King Mufasa, and throw him into a valley of stampeding wildebeest.
If you fancy a cry, you can relive that scene below:But if you thought watching Simba plead with his fallen father to wake up was the most emotionally tumultuous part of the movie, well... prepare to have your childhood destroyed.
TikTok user Christian (username @classyking0), has gone viral on the social media platform this week after sharing "proof" to his theory that Scar actually ate his brother's body.
Watch Christian's hard-hitting evidence unfold in the video below:Taking to Google, Christian reveals that hyenas don’t usually eat lions - in fact, they don't have any predators at all.
The Tiktoker then points out that lions do, in fact, eat other lions, citing Google as he reveals: "Carnivores do kill and eat other carnivores. A lot of the time the consumption of a rival is an act of dominance, particularly among lions."
After googling an image of a lion skull, Christian then places it side-by-side with a scene from the movie in which Scar is playing with an unknown creature's skull - and they look terrifyingly similar.
So, if we are to believe Christian - Scar didn't just eat Mufasa, he also kept his brother's skull as a reminder of his victory.
For many social media users, the evidence was all there, and they quickly had their childhoods ruined all over again, with one writing: "I was today years old when I found out that Scar ATE Mufasa!!"
And after the original video amassed over 8.5 million views, people were also quick to take to the comments section to share their disbelief:
I guess that's one way to look at the "circle of life"...

I will happily put my neck on the line and say that The Lion King is the greatest Disney movie ever created.
Firstly, the movie features probably the greatest soundtrack of any Disney film, with songs like 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' and 'Be Prepared' featuring prominently on my workout playlist.
Secondly, the characters are superb and wonderfully written. The flamboyant Scar is without a doubt the greatest Disney villain to grace the big screen, and Timon and Pumbaa are wonderful comic relief. Also, James Earl Jones as the voice of the wise Mufasa emotes pure regality.
Related - Safaris may be spectacular, but they can also be dangerous. Check out this tour's close call with a lion:

And thirdly, the story of two brothers battling to be king is wonderfully Shakespearean and perfectly executed.
Yes, The Lion King is a movie I'm sure many of us have watched time and time again, and there is perhaps no scene more iconic than the opening sequence, depicting Simba's coronation. We all know the one; all the animals from the savanna bow their heads as Rafiki the primate lifts Simba up atop Pride Rock.
Well, now a baboon living in the Kruger National Park in northeastern South Africa has gone viral after unintenionally recreating that very shot.
The incredible images were shared to Facebook on the official Kurt Safari page, along with the caption: "Male baboon steals a Lion cub In the Kruger national park, then grooms and carry’s and cares for the cub as if it was a young Baboon".

However, despite several comments pointing out the likeness to the Disney movie, Kurt Safari Company officials took to the comments section to reveal that the lion cub would probably not survive after being taken.
The company posted in the comments section: "After over and Hour the Baboons moved further in, i was unable to stay longer , However the Lion cub seemed quite dehydrated and tired, in the past i have seen Baboons killing Leopard cubs, so i presume the cub would not survive the day, either due to other Baboons fighting for the cub or just the strength of the baboon moving around with the cub or the heat of the day. I will try get more information from people that went in that direction after i left [sic]."

The company official then reveals how it may be unpleasant to watch unfold, human interaction with the wildlife at the park is frowned upon, and that it is often best to let nature take its course - no matter how cruel.

They wrote: "As much as we realize it might be hard to watch and might be cruel, Human interaction with wildlife in the Kruger national park or most wildlife reserved globally is not something that happens unless it is caused by Humans, in this case nature was acting normally and the strongest and fittest survive, Lions growing up pose a threat to Baboons when older. Kurt safari or our guides are not permitted to intervene, any park ranger would not intervene is such a situation as what was happening was totally natural, we shared this as it was something not normally seen or captured on camera. [sic]"
In a follow-up post earlier today (February 4), the Kurt Safari company said their guides has been searching for the cub for three days, but to no avail.
[[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/kurtsafari/posts/2940984989284857]]
"3 Days have past and Kurt Safari guides and other operators guides have all been looking in the region where the sighting of the baboon stealing the lion cub took place. Unfortunately there is no news. Although baboons have been seen in the same area they did not have a lion cub with them. No lion cub of this young age could survive without milk for this period of time. Nature is sometimes cruel and we as guides and Park rangers would not intervene, as nature needs to take its course, regardless of the outcome or how we as nature lovers might feel, thank you Kurt Safari."
That is the circle of life...

Ever since Black Panther was released in movie theatres, it seems that every other person on my Twitter feed has had something to say about it. Some people love it, some people have been posting misleading troll messages about it, and a lot of people have just been lusting after Winston Duke, who plays M'Baku in the box office hit.
However, nobody has attracted more attention than Michael B. Jordan (or Michael Bae, as he is known in certain realms of the web), who absolutely slayed it as Killmonger. The actor first turned heads for his spectacularly ripped bod, and has since gone on to prove that he's actually an all-around sweetheart.
But, despite his charm, he isn't quite out of the reach of criticism, as one person showed when they called Jordan out for living with his parents.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/chrisfrom_216/status/966462864272838656]]
User @chrisfrom_216 also ripped into the actor for liking anime, saying that the hobby was something that is usually considered "unacceptable" for a grown man. And if that wasn't enough, he chucked in a dig at Jordan's height, which actually seems sort of inconsequential seeing as the guy is built like a literal deity.
But it certainly is true that Jordan has expressed his love for comics on many previous occasions. In fact, according to DuJour, "Jordan says he generally spends his downtime collecting graphic novels and obsessing over Japanese anime," and is reportedly "developing several animated films of his own."
However, that part about him living with his parents isn't quite right - and nor was the height that Chris originally tweeted. So, in a succinct comeback, the Black Panther star schooled his Twitter hater (and defended his love for anime in the process, of course).
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/michaelb4jordan/status/966827329434669056]]
In one fell swoop, Jordan knocked his critic back a few paces, proving that - not only is he minted enough to put his parents up in a fancy house - he's also a nice enough person to just do it out of the kindness of his heart.
But the Twitter exchange didn't end there.
Further down the comment chain, another Twitter user attempted to call Jordan out for being a fake anime fan (seems he can't win whether he is or he isn't at this point), by implying that Goku and Naruto - the two characters he mentioned - were too mainstream, and therefore apparently not good enough for the nerdy side of the internet.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/heartofmani/status/966828171319500800]]
However, Jordan had a zinger for that jibe too.

In recent interviews, Jordan has actually discussed what it is like to live with his folks, and explained that they were shacking up with him because "it's every kid's dream to buy their parents a house".
However, he did indicate that there had been one or two awkward moments since they'd moved in.
"I love my parents, but we have a roommate relationship right now, which is interesting," he said on The Ellen Show. "You get home-cooked meals, but then you also have random trips to the kitchen in the middle of the night. Just the random run-ins that just might be a little uncomfortable from time to time."
