Instagram's censorship team are a confusing and contradictory bunch. It seems pretty mad that while a man's nipple is an acceptable thing to be shown on the social media platform, a
woman's is not. For some reason, users of Instagram are still troubled by the idea of a woman's nipple being visible to the naked eye and therefore, if your account is found to have images that break this strict code of conduct, it could be
deleted.
One model who knows all too well about these puzzling guidelines is Instagram user 'Curvy Natalia Lozano'. Natalia is a model from Spain and her popular Instagram account was shut down after she showed a little bit too much for some people's liking. At the peak of her popularity, the model had over 150,000 followers before it was suddenly shut down for breaking Instagram's code of conduct.

The model has now started up a new account and is now in the process of rebuilding her followers from scratch. So far, Natalia has managed to recoup 14,000 of her fans and she vows to carry on fighting against the censorship on the platform as well as the scrutiny that plus-size models such as herself come under.
Accounts like Natalia's are often closed down after Instagram receive complaints regarding the content that has been posted on them. The model believes that this was the case with her own profile, with her claiming that there was a concerted effort made by her haters in order to lodge complaints against her and get her account shut down.

However, despite the daily abuse that she receives due to her size, Natalia says that she will not give up in her efforts to spread body-positivity and self-love. Speaking about the complainers, she said:
"They cannot stand that I am sexy and confident. They call me fat and vulgar and accuse me of hypocrisy because I touch up my photos."
The social media star says that while body-shaming is an international problem, she believes that the issue is more evident in Spain than in other countries.

"The moment you stand up as a sexy plus-size woman, you are judged and censored. However, in the United States for
example, plus-size models have lots of followers and are more widely accepted than in my own country."
Natalia is a fighter and she says that she will not throw in the towel. The model promises to continue to ‘raise awareness and promote good values, not those of envy and hatred.’

"Whatever people think of my body, I am indifferent. They are young people, the focus is on 18-19-20 years. I will not leave Instagram, they have not given me any solution or help, two weeks later I am waiting for what to do."
Fair play for Natalia for carrying on with her message in the face of all the abuse and scorn she receives online. I'll never get my head around those people who report things on Instagram; if you don't like what you're seeing, just look away.
