An actor has sadly passed away after undergoing several cosmetic surgeries over the course of a year in order to look like BTS singer Jimin.
On Sunday morning, Saint Von Colucci died at the age of 22 at a South Korean hospital after suffering complications from multiple plastic surgery procedures he had a few months ago.
His publicist, Eric Blake, revealed to the Daily Mail that Von Colucci went into surgery on Saturday night to remove implants from his jaw that he had put in last November.
It is said the artist - who moved from Canada to work in the K-pop (Korean popular music) industry in 2019 - developed an infection from going under the knife, and had to be intubated due to difficulties. He tragically passed away hours later.
"It's very tragic and very unfortunate," Blake said about his client, whom he had been reportedly working with since March of 2022.
In the last 12 months, Von Colucci reportedly spent $220,000 on 12 cosmetic procedures, including implants, a facelift, jaw surgery, an eye lift, an eyebrow lift, a nose job, a lip reduction, and other minor surgeries.
He informed the outlet that the artist understood how dangerous jaw implant surgery was since they change the structure of your natural jaw and put implants in them, but he still insisted on getting it.
"He was very insecure about his looks," Blake said. "He had a very square jawline and chin and he didn't like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide and wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have."
Blake disclosed that Van Colucci's natural features were blue eyes, dark blonde hair, and a frame that stood 6 feet tall and 182 pounds, however, he was "very unhappy about his appearance".
"He was very insecure about his face," the publicist added. "It was very hard [for] him to get a job in South Korea and he felt very discriminated against by his Western looks."
Von Colucci came to South Korea in 2019 to try to get into the music industry. A company hired him and paid for his housing, transportation, and living expenses. According to Blake, he was under a seven-year contract with him.
Before he passed, the Canadian artist filmed an eight-episode Korean drama series called Pretty Lies - also titled Cogimar - in which he played the 27-year-old star of Grammy-nominated superstar group BTS, per Page Six.
The publicist told the Daily Mail that the TV series - which was reportedly in production from June to December 2022 - is set to premiere on a well-known US streaming service later this year.
"He was very, very excited and worked really hard," Blake added.
Our thoughts are with Von Colucci's family, friends, and fans at this time.

Reality television personality Jordan James Parke has died more than a year after he was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
The star, who built a public profile around extreme cosmetic enhancements and branded himself “The Plastic Surgery Advocate,” passed away on February 18, 2026.
His death was confirmed by his sister in an emotional online tribute.
Parke’s sister, Sharnelle Parke, took to Instagram to share the devastating news with followers.
She wrote: "Our beautiful, funny most amazing Jordan James Parke passed away on Wednesday the 18th of February 2026. We as a family are numb, shocked and heartbroken."
Acknowledging that negative commentary might surface, she added: "There will be some unkind messages that will be posted regarding this heartbreaking news … but please if you knew Jordan you will know that none of what will be posted is true and please keep him in your heart!"
Describing the scale of the loss, Sharnelle said her brother had been the family’s “whole world,” and continued: "There are simply no words to express how grateful that we had you in our lives."
Parke became a familiar face on British television, appearing on This Morning and Bodyshockers. He also featured on the US reality show Botched, further boosting his international profile.
Across his lifetime, he reportedly underwent more than 50 cosmetic procedures. According to Mail Online, these included a lip lift, a chin implant, and multiple rounds of liposuction.
He once described Kim Kardashian as his muse, openly crediting her influence on his aesthetic goals.
His dramatic transformation became central to his public image, with Parke positioning himself as an outspoken advocate for plastic surgery.
Outside of television, Parke owned a beauty salon in Gloucestershire, UK.
It was there that he performed a liquid BBL procedure on 33-year-old Alice Webb in September 2024. Webb died the day after having the treatment.
One month later, Parke was arrested in connection to Webb’s death on suspicion of manslaughter. He was later released.
As of December 2025, he remained on bail and had not been charged.
Following confirmation of Parke’s death, Webb’s family issued a statement through ITV News.
They said: "We have heard the news that Jordan Parke has died. This brings mixed emotions, as it inevitably reminds us of the deeply painful loss of Alice.
"While we will never see him face trial, our fight for justice for Alice continues. We remain committed to campaigning for stricter regulations to prevent tragedies like Alice’s.
"Our focus remains on honouring Alice’s memory and advocating for meaningful change."
Webb’s family are campaigning to introduce “Alice’s Law” in the UK. The proposed measure would mean liquid BBL procedures could only be carried out by qualified individuals, such as a plastic surgeon listed on the General Medical Council specialist register.
Despite Parke’s death, they have made clear that their push for tighter regulations and accountability is ongoing.

People sometimes go to extreme lengths in order to achieve their dream body. This may involve dangerous dieting habits, unhealthy approaches to exercise, or - for a small minority of folks- cosmetic surgery.
These treatments can range from simple wrinkle-eliminating botox injections to complex (and often highly risky) invasive surgeries, but the things that surgeons have on offer really do run the gamut in terms of variety. Statistics from 2016 show that breast augmentations were the most popular cosmetic augmentation performed in the US, with recipients collectively spending more than a billion dollars on getting their chests enhanced.
However, even though more than 300,000 of that specific operation takes place every year - making it a fairly routine procedure for a trained surgeon - people still die on the operating table.
And Heidi Montag was one of them.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BgE_Me1DC3x/?hl=en&taken-by=heidipratt]]
The American TV personality has had a number of surgeries in the past, and once endeavored to get 10 augmentations and alterations in just one sitting. Unfortunately, the ambitious procedures didn't quite go as planned, and The Hills star technically died for a minute after her heart stopped.
Speaking to Paper magazine, she recalled how her husband, Spencer Pratt, was told that she wouldn't survive the surgeries.
"My security guards called Spencer and told him, 'Heidi's heart stopped. She's not going to make it'," she said. "And I easily could've. Cutting yourself up isn't something I'd recommend, and Demerol [the medication she was given afterwards] isn't anything to play around with. That's how Michael Jackson died."
All the operations that Montag had were fairly standard - brow lifts, a second breast enhancement, a second rhinoplasty (nose job), ear pinnings, and a chin reduction - but something inevitably didn't go to plan.

However, that was nearly a decade ago now, and Montag has changed her attitude towards cosmetic surgery in the meantime.
Just last year, she gave birth to her first child - a baby boy named Gunner - and is now solely focused on being the best mom she possibly can. In preparation for her little one, she had her size F breast implants removed, and says that her near-death experience made her reconsider a lot of things about herself.
"A lot of positive things came out of that. I had to look at myself in the mirror everyday healing, and be like, 'What did I do to myself? How did I get here? What is going on?' I basically had to hit that rock-bottom moment in my life, to realize what was important to me."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BgtvaSVlIpb/?hl=en&taken-by=heidipratt]]
After her botched operations, Montag spent a significant time in recovery. "With that much surgery, I had to have 24-hour nurse care and Spencer didn't want to leave my side," she explained. "I was at a recovery center."
Understandably, an experience like that would be traumatic enough to put anyone off having further procedures done - and Montag says it was a wake-up call about how she was willing to risk her "own life for vanity."
Now, however, she has her family to concentrate on, and she appears to be a whole lot happier for it.

A Kim Kardashian lookalike has died after suffering a cardiac arrest hours after a cosmetic surgery procedure, her family confirmed.
According to a GoFundMe page that the OnlyFan star's grieving family set up in the wake of the tragedy, 34-year-old Christina Ashten Gourkani - who went by Ashten - died in the hospital on Thursday just hours after the surgery.
In order to raise money for Ashten's funeral, her family is seeking to raise $40,000 via the online fundraiser.
The GoFundMe description reads: "It is with deep sorrow and an [immensely] heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani."
The family received a phone call from a devastated relative (said to be in "hysterics" at the time) who began screaming: "Ashten is dying."
The phone call, according to the description, "instantly shattered our world and will forever haunt our family for the rest of our lives."
Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Ashten's loved ones were informed that her health had continued to decline after she suffered a cardiac arrest.
The GoFundMe also revealed that her sudden passing is currently being investigated as a homicide in connection with the cosmetic procedure.
The post then went on to praise Ashten's kindness: "If you knew Ashten you knew that everyone mattered to her. She was such a caring and loving free spirit that always took the time to bring a smile to anyone's face she crossed paths with.
"She was the kind of person that would kneel down and talk to children at eye level, she searched for the lonely person in the corner and made them feel special as she has such a gift of connecting with people.
"On many occasions I've seen her turn her adversarys into life long friends just after 10 seconds of pouring her charismatic joy, positive energy and her beautiful smile that she gave to those around her. Ashten's spirit is a light that will forever carry on to her loved ones around her and those that she has left behind."
It continued: "Christina Ashten Gourkani I hope there is a place in heaven where you can feel the amount of our grief and the emptiness of our broken hearts, that we feel without you in our lives” We love you so much Chrissy
"We ask in this time of mourning our loss & disbelief that people can come together to help our family make it through this, when there is not enough strength.
"We are grateful for the support that you are able to provide to our family as we lay Christina Ashten Gourkani to eternal peace."
Concluding the post, the Gourkani family shared their gratitude, writing: "Again we want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the continued support and generous words... your loving kindness, is our guiding light through the most difficult time of our lives."
Of the $40,000 goal, $3,590 has been donated thus far.

2017 has been the year of people altering themselves to the extreme in order to look like their fictional or non-fictional idols. There has been repeated stories about The Human Ken Doll and his desire to look like a plastic figurine, as well as a polish woman who is attempted to look like a real-life Barbie. However, this man who spent $25,000 trying to look like David Beckham, has issued a warning regarding the effects in can have on you.
Jack Johnson, a young man from the UK, spent years of his life trying to look like the infamous soccer player and fashion icon. Unfortunately for Jack, him and Golden Balls don't share much in common when it comes to appearance and he claims that his unsuccessful attempt to replicate the handsome looks of Becks led him to a suicide bid.
The man claims that he is now reversing his medical work and wants to speak out and warn others not to follow him down the route of extensive surgery.
“I tried to take my own life because trying to look like Beckham is a full time job and is not easy,” he said.
“Trying to look like Beckham nearly killed me and I don’t want others to make the same mistake.”
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BW2mBcuhJ9K/?hl=en&taken-by=davidbeckham]]
Jack underwent multiple procedures in order to try and look like Beckham. He would have tan injections every month, as well as having lip, chin and cheek fillers, botox injected into his forehead and dental veneers.
The 21-year-old says that raising the money for the operations was a difficult task, he has to use his Disability Living Allowance, take out loans and borrow a substantial amount of cash from his brother. Due to the costs involved with the surgery, Jack is now $16,000 in debt and insists that he has learnt his lesson.
Jack rose to fame last year and appeared on multiple international news outlets. He says that he rise to fame led to him getting free liposuction, botox and lip fillers from clinics all over the UK.
"I’m not speaking out because I want notoriety or fame anymore - I’m genuinely doing this because I’ve come out the other side of it,” he said. “
When I was on This Morning Holly or Phil asked me if I was happy. I told them I was but really I wasn’t - I was in the worst place ever on the inside.”“
Jack felt so low on self-esteem that he tried to kill himself four months ago by overdosing on tablets. He was found by a friend and rushed to hospital.
After multiple sessions with a psychiatrist, Jack was diagnosed with body dysmorphia - a condition where a person spend the majority of their time worried about their appearance.
"I obviously don’t blame David Beckham, it’s not his fault,” said Jack.
“I was trying desperately to look like him and it nearly cost me my life.
“I feel like I’m in the best place ever now - and I really don’t want anybody to go through what I have.
“Nobody should ever aspire to look like celebrities to that extent, and I’m an example of that. You need to just be yourself.”
Well done to Jack for speaking out about his experience. With the growing trend in people altering their bodies to the extreme, hopefully more people like Jack will come forward to highlight the warnings and dangers involved.

Musician Ian Starr has spoken out about how he managed to attain his "fantasy face" without a "bank balance the size of Kim Kardashian’s."
Ian, who hails from Brisbane in Austrasia, was left disillusioned after leaving the boy band Boystar back in 2009. Inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s sketches of ideal male facial proportions, he completely revamped his own look. Now, after going through multiple surgeries, he looks so different that his ex-boyfriend once failed to recognise him - asking who he thought was a handsome stranger out on a date.
Ian then spent three years designing his ideal visage, with help from the world-famous cosmetic surgeon Dr Farshid Mahboubirad. Dr Mahboubirad is best known for performing procedures on The Human Ken Doll - aka Rodrigo Alves. In 2015 Ian flew to Iran to undergo a chin implant, fat transfers from his mouth into his cheeks, a brow lift, and Botox – paying just over $4,000 for the various procedures.
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4GHP-g-_GI]]
Commenting on his life after going under the knife in a recent interview, Ian stated: "I don’t hate the person I was before. I think he was happy enough, but somewhere along the way I lost myself – I can’t say why or when, but it just happened. I had to get out of it and change. Now my career and confidence are back, I’m finally happy again."
He added: "You don’t have to have the same bank balance as a celebrity to look like the rich and famous ... I had rhinoplasty and cheek implants done in Los Angeles, USA, which cost me £3,858. I wasn’t entirely happy with my results and wanted something more extreme, so I researched various cosmetic surgeons and eventually found a doctor in Iran, who promised he could make me look like a prince."
"People who say plastic surgery isn’t going to change anything are liars. We all manipulate ourselves somehow – whether it’s contouring with make-up, shaving or dyeing our hair. The only difference with me is that I make my changes permanent. I’ll admit - the surgery was pretty brutal and the recovery was painful, so I spent two weeks in care in Iran and another few months at home just resting."
Ian’s songwriting career has taken off since his surgery, and his song have been used in the Netflix movie The Kissing Booth. He's also been shortlisted for the Eurovision song contest for Australia, and he puts at least some of his success down to how well he has cared for himself since the procedures. However, despite the happiness that surgery has brought him, Ian says that you should choose your procedures responsibly and carefully, and give yourself significant recovery time afterwards.
