Brian Austin Green has spoken out following claims his ex-wife Megan Fox has been "forcing" their sons to wear "girls' clothes".
Fox, 37, has recently come under fire from former music video director Robby Starbuck, who describes himself as a self-proclaimed Republican "freedom fighter" in his Twitter bio.
On June 8, Starbuck tweeted an image of Fox and her three children to his 360,000+ followers. He claimed to have previously lived in the same gated community as Fox, writing: "These are Megan Fox’s sons. We used to live in the same gated community and our kids played at the park.
"I saw 2 of them have a full on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them."
In a follow-up tweet, Starbuck added that the alleged incident he described occurred "five years ago", adding that "California wouldn’t do anything about it because the state celebrates this stuff and she’s famous".
He went on to describe Fox's sons as being unhappy and said he hadn't spoken out about the alleged situation "because they were so young and I thought it would stop".
Fox fiercely responded to Starbuck's tweets in an Instagram post, telling him: "[E]xploiting my child’s gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe."
The Transformers star then said that she has been "burned at the stake by insecure, narcissistic, impotent, little men like [Starbuck] many times", but she is still here.
"[Y]ou f***ed with the wrong witch," she concluded her post.
Now, Fox's ex-husband Brian Austin Green has spoken out about the matter.
Green shares three sons with Fox - Noah, 10, Bodhi, nine, and Journey, six - and he recently spoke to TMZ about Starbuck's tweets, calling the claims "a totally bogus story".
The father added: "There are only a few people in their world that can actually verify wether [sic] or not a story like this is true and I can tell you with absolute certainty it is not.
"This person trying to claim this is true is a perfect example of someone with selfish motives that does not care about negatively affecting a parent child relationship."
Green concluded his statement to TMZ by saying: "As a society, I hope we continue to push to be better. This Robby Starbuck person is full of s**t, and I have no idea who he is."

Megan Fox has called out her former neighbor after he criticized her for letting her sons wear "girls' clothes".
The furor started when former music video director-turned-self-proclaimed Republican freedom fighter Robby Starbuck tweeted an image of Fox and her three children to his 336,000+ Twitter followers.
Fox, 37, shares her three sons - Noah, 10, Bodhi, nine, and Journey, six - with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
In his post, Starbuck accused Fox of "child abuse", writing: "These are Megan Fox’s sons.
"We used to live in the same gated community and our kids played at the park. I saw 2 of them have a full on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them."
Adding further "context" to his post, Starbuck claimed that the alleged incident took place "five years ago" and said that "California wouldn’t do anything about it because the state celebrates this stuff and she’s famous".
Starbuck then claimed to have worked with Fox on shoot briefly in the past, and that she was "very nice" to him.
Nevertheless, he continued his allegations against the Transformers star and her children, adding: "Just a very weird situation but clearly those boys weren’t happy. I never said anything publicly because they were so young and I thought it would stop because they were vocally expressing the desire to wear 'boy clothes'."
After Starbuck's tweets amassed thousands of retweets, Fox responded.
Sharing a screenshot of Starbuck's post to her own Instagram page, she wrote: "[H]ey @robbystarbuck
"[I] really don’t want to give you this attention because clearly [you're] a clout chaser but let me teach you something… irregardless of how desperate you may become at any given time to acquire wealth, power, success, or fame - never use children as leverage or social currency."
Fox added: "[E]xploiting my child’s gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe."
The actor then said that she has been "burned at the stake by insecure, narcissistic, impotent, little men like [Starbuck] many times", but she is still here.
"[Y]ou f***ed with the wrong witch," she concluded her post.
Fox received an outpouring of support from her fans, with one person writing in the comments section: "You and your beautiful kids are so loved, guided and protected. The world is still catching up and the new wave of kids coming onto the planet have so much to teach the world about love and self-expression. Thank you for being a fierce stand for them feeling safe to be who they are."
A second added: "It’s probably never occurred to anyone that she ACTUALLY listens to her kids regarding what makes them comfortable and happy and sometimes it may mean letting them pick out a girly flower shirt to wear rather than forcing them to do/dress the way society thinks to make ya’ll feel better."
In an interview with Glamour last year, Fox opened up about her children's fashion choices.
"Noah started wearing dresses when he was about two, and I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is," she told the outlet. "Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want."

Megan Fox has publicly blasted her ex Brian Austin Green in the Instagram comments of a picture of himself and one of the sons they share, prompting him to delete the photo entirely.
Yesterday, October 31, Austin Green posted a picture of himself and three-year-old Journey (the youngest of the three sons the former couple share together) in their Halloween costumes.
This is the moment Megan Fox speaks about her son Noah's penchant for wearing dresses to school:
[[jwplayerwidget||https://content.jwplatform.com/videos/6PPjpZHi-sKUnNGKf.mp4||6PPjpZHi]]
He captioned the photo, "Hope you all had a good Halloween!"
Needless to say, the seemingly innocent pic was inundated with comments calling him, "the best daddy". Other commenters wondered why the boys' mom (AKA Fox) is "never around".
Soon after the snap was posted, however, Fox shared a comment of her own, questioning why Austin Green didn't simply crop out their son from the pic, and why he was "so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative" that she's an "absent mother".
This is what Fox wrote in her very public critique of Green's decision to post a snap with one of their sons:
"Why does Journey have to be in this picture? It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in.
"I had a great Halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media.
"I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via Instagram. You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.
"You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human!
"Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?"
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Austin Green speedily deleted the photo after being put on blast by his ex.
This comes after Austin Green appeared to throw shade at Fox back in August after she posted a snap of herself and her new boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, months after their own split.
On August 5, Fox posted a photo of herself and the 30-year-old rapper each wearing towels, along with the caption: "Achingly Beautiful Boy … My heart is yours."

That same day, Austin Green posted photos of the sons he and Fox share: Noah Shannon, 7, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Journey River, 3. Also included in the photos was his eldest son Kassius, 18, whose mother is Vanessa Marcil.
Roasting his ex's caption, Austin Green wrote: "Achingly beautiful boys … My heart is yours."

Per News.com.au, Austin Green announced their split in May during an episode of his podcast, saying: "I think it’s going as well as it can. There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong."
"We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can."

Vanessa Marcil, the ex of Brian Austin Green, has spoken out in support of Megan Fox.
Marcil - who shares son Kassius with Green, and dated the Beverly Hills 90210 alum from 1999 to 2003 - took to Instagram on Friday to share a 9/11 tribute post, which featured a photo of her with Green when they were still together.
Green confirmed his split from Megan on his podcast, …with Brian Austin Green in an episode titled 'Context', back in June.
"Sept 11... I was pregnant with Kassius and headed to NYC. Kass' dad was driving me to the airport," Marcil captioned the photo. "We received a call from Nana frantically saying 'Is Vanessa already on her plane?' 'Turn on the news' New Yorker's lives changed forever."
While the post wasn't actually about her ex, one of her followers commented: "I think you still love Brian Austin Green."
And Marcil had quite the response.
"I was never in love with him but I am very proud of the fact that my son loves his dad unconditionally and has chosen to forgive," she wrote. "I celebrate Kassius' love for his father and remain extremely grateful that Kass was finally invited back into his father's life and was able to meet his youngest brother for the first time & finally start seeing his other two siblings again. 5 years apart with no explanation is devastating for children. For siblings. My son is also an incredible & protective big brother [sic]," she wrote.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/CFAUPoLjdnI/]]
"That was part of his anger towards me and so the reason why he fought me for so long knowing it would hurt our son & change our son forever. I did however feel sorry for him. I still do. He's a very angry/sad human being who still has too much shame to take full responsibility for his actions as a father. I consciously knew that I could work through childhood traumas through him and I have. I have great empathy towards him and other people who are still in pain from their childhoods [sic]."
She addressed Fox directly in a since unavailable Instagram Story, captured by the Daily Mail:
"I actually have respect for how @meganfox is finally living her life for herself & leaving her children out of her public life at this young age," she said. "I used to hide Kass from the public when he was young & never once spoke about our court case to Kass or publicly until Kass was grown & insisted I stop lying to protect. Megan finally living her life for herself is in itself a gift to her children."

Brian Austin Green has opened up in detail about his highly publicized relationship with ex Megan Fox, directly addressing longstanding accusations that he “groomed” the actress.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star - now 51 - began dating Fox when she was 18 and he was 30, after they met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004.
Their tumultuous relationship saw multiple breakups and reconciliations before finally ending in divorce in 2020. In their 15 years together, the couple married, had three sons, and weathered public scrutiny over their age gap and the dynamics of their relationship.
Now, for the first time, Green is confronting the narrative around how their relationship began — and why he remained quiet for so long.
Speaking on his Old-ish podcast, co-hosted with his fiancée Sharna Burgess and Randy Spelling, Green was asked directly why he had never publicly responded to accusations that he “groomed” Fox when she was younger.
“I think it comes from my dad. He’s very good at cutting emotion out of something and just being logical in his choices,” Green explained. “I really, logically understood that if I defend myself this one time, it’s never gonna stop. I’m gonna have to defend myself for who knows how long, because people are gonna believe what they wanna believe.”
“So, to me, time is the only thing that regulates that.
"People spend more time seeing me not being that way and then they start questioning it and they start going, you know, ‘We’ve seen him for five years. We’ve never once seen him being controlling or hearing any other story from anyone else about.’ It’s the long game of it.”
Green added: “There was so much stuff — you said, the grooming stuff, the controlling stuff, it seems like that just continually lessens and lessens until I run into people now that are like, ‘Yeah, I used to think that, or that seemed to be the case,’ but they just genuinely don’t believe that anymore. And it’s not because of anything I said… It’s actions that truly paint a picture and tell a story.”
Green also opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of their breakups — particularly their 2015 separation, which he says blindsided him at a time when he was physically incapacitated by ulcerative colitis.
“The first time she wanted a divorce, we had two kids,” he said. “She went to New York to do the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I couldn’t even go with her because I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t do anything. I had to stay home, and I was doing physical therapy, speech therapy and all sorts of stuff.”
“So the first time she wanted a divorce was when she came back from that," Green added. "I didn’t even have the physical ability to, like, argue with her on it and fight for the relationship… It killed me.
"It was out of nowhere. It was the most vulnerable thing I had ever experienced in my life at that time.”
The couple reconciled not long after and welcomed their third son, Journey.
“Journey was born. Then we were just kind of back in the wheel … and it seemed like we were in a good place of like, ‘Oh, we’ve been through a lot together. We can do this. There’s no mountain that’s too high to climb. We’ve got this. This is all figured out,’” he recalled.
But in 2020, Fox asked for a divorce again — this time for good.
Fox’s post-divorce relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, which began that same year, made headlines for its intensity. She referred to the rapper as her “twin flame” and “ultimate soulmate.”
Green admitted he experienced jealousy and confusion during that period. “At the point when she approached me and then the Machine Gun Kelly stuff and everything was happening, I was genuinely in a place of… ‘I can deal with this. This is not gonna kill me. I’ll be OK.’ It sucks. And it’s really hard. And I had absolute moments of jealousy and all the normal things you go through.”
He added: “It went from, like, ‘Hey, we should get a divorce.’ To all of a sudden it was like, ‘Hey, you know, my twin flame and this is my soulmate. And I manifested him.’”
During the early days of that relationship, Green said he was even asked to downplay things publicly. “I remember at that point when the pictures came out, Megan saying to me, ‘We’re just friends. Please, can you, on your podcast, say [that]?’ It was a little tailored to better that side because it was such a big deal,” he explained. “I completely caved to that ’cause I loved her. I didn’t want to badmouth her even though it was a s***** situation… I wanted the best for her, begrudgingly.”
Reflecting on the beginning of their relationship, Green shared how Fox had quickly taken on adult responsibilities while helping raise his son Kassius, who is now 23.
“When we were first together, I already had Kass,” he said. “So she became very responsible for his well-being and was involved in all of the legal stuff that was going on with Vanessa [Marcil] and I, and it’s a lot at a young age.”
“It was amazing, but it was so much responsibility, I think she kind of just got to a point in her life where she was like, ‘I missed out on being a kid, like, being an irresponsible kid. I jumped in at just over 18 years old with a guy that had a 2-year-old.’ I think it became overwhelming for her.”
“When she realized that, she wanted out quickly, which is then what made it hard for me. I understood it, but it doesn’t make it any less hard.”
Despite everything, Green said he harbours no regrets about his past. “Sharna is the love of my life. We have an amazing family life, an amazing baby,” he said of his current fiancée, with whom he shares a two-year-old son, Zane.
“My life is nothing I ever had expected it would turn out to be. I was a shell of who I am now… I genuinely believe what I went through is what created who I am now.”
