Bruno Mars had a very successful night during Sunday's 64th annual Grammy Awards, and opted to celebrate one of his big wins by sparking up a cigarette while still on stage.
Along with superduo member Anderson .Paak, the pair - known collectively as Silk Sonic - won four awards over the course of the evening, bagging the top prize for Best R&B Song, Best R&B Performance, Song of the Year, and the prestigious Record of the Year for 'Leave The Door Open'.
While accepting the Grammy for the latter, 36-year-old Mars looked over the moon with the group's win - so much so that he decided to light a cigarette while Paak was still delivering the acceptance speech.
You can check out the moment in the video below:
"To all the other nominees, y'all know we love y'all. We love y'all," Paak says, before adding: "Drinks are on Silk Sonic tonight. We are getting drunk.
"I know a lot of you fans will be upset. So we will get out of here before the internet gets to talking."
After throwing the mic over to his partner, Mars simply adds: "God bless you all. Goodnight!"
It was truly an iconic moment - and just like Mars himself, the whole thing just oozed swag. As a result, viewers were quick to take to social media to share their thoughts on Mars' on-stage antics.
"Lmao! Bruno Mars lit up a cigarette live on the #GRAMMYs stage after winning Record of the Year. I can’t even deal," one Twitter user wrote.
A second added: "Only a LEGEND of the music industry can light a cigarette in the middle of the Grammys ceremony, if I speak of the 15-time winner BRUNO MARS!!!"
"I want to be like Bruno Mars smoking a cigarette on stage winning another Grammy," a third tweeted.
One Twitter user alluded to the fallout from the Oscars drama last week, writing: "Bruno Mars just lit a cigarette on the Grammys stage in the middle of accepting an award, can we talk about that instead of Will Smith now?"
Others just could not get over Mars' level of confidence and charisma, with one person writing: "Bruno Mars smoking a cig while accepting his Grammy is the life I want."
"Bruno Mars actively smoking a cig while accepting his award for record of the year? Iconic," added another.
I have to agree. If I could be anyone right now, I'd be Bruno Mars.
