A 21-year-old Polish woman who shot to internet fame after claiming she was Madeleine McCann has had her DNA results finally revealed.

Julia Wandelt made headlines after she made several social media accounts showcasing comparison images of herself and McCann - who was just three years old when she went missing while on a family vacation.

On May 3, 2007, three-year-old Madeleine mysteriously disappeared from a holiday apartment in Portugal while her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, were at a nearby restaurant.

Despite expansive searches from Portuguese law enforcement and appeals in the following years, there has been no trace of Maddie's whereabouts.

Before shutting down her social media accounts, Julia made some bold claims, writing that she has specific features that link her to Maddie such as a speck on her eye. The claims led to Julia amassing tens of thousands of followers on social media.

Julia has since traveled from Poland to the US for "safety", and subsequently submitted samples for three separate forensic tests to establish her DNA sequence with the help of Dr. Fia Johansson - a private investigator and self-professed psychic.

While she was waiting for the results, she made her first TV appearance with Dr. Phil, where she discussed her physical likeness to the missing child, as well as her mother's alleged refusal to discuss her childhood. When questioned about what her next steps will be after the results of the DNA test provide answers, Julia boldly responded: "I believe I am Madeleine McCann."

She then further explained what she would do if the results reveal that she is the child of her mother in Poland: "If she is my mother, I don’t want to have contact with her that’s all, but I believe she isn’t my mother." Julia also referred to Poland's child health book where she noted that the first six pages of hers are mysteriously blank, furthering her claims that she is not the child of those who raised her.

Now, the DNA test results have finally revealed the answer that many of us were already anticipating: Julia is not Madeleine McCann. Speaking to Radar Online Dr. Johansson - the private investigator and medium who has been assisting Julia with the whole process - still believes that the man who sexually abused Julia as a child is linked to the McCann case.

"Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann which I believe is God and the universe's way of wanting us to get close to the man who sexually abused her, expose him, and his possible ties to the McCann case," she stated. "At least Julia got the investigators to move on the McCann case - she made things happen."
