Charlie Kirk's former classmate has shared what he was actually like in high school.
The 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University.
Moments before the shooting, he was responding to a question about gun violence. When asked: "Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?" he replied: "Too many."
The questioner then stated there had been five and asked about the total number of mass shooters. "Counting or not counting gang violence?" Kirk responded before the fatal shot rang out.
Shocking footage shared on social media showed him recoiling before collapsing as panic spread through the crowd.
Tyler James Robinson, 22, was later arrested and charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of witness tampering, and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.
Following Kirk’s death, a man identifying himself as Nick Caputo shared a post alleging that the activist had been a "relentless bully" during their school years.
"Charlie Kirk bullied me relentlessly in high school to the point that I had a suicide attempt before the age of 18," the post began, cited by Bored Panda.
"I feel sympathy for his wife and kids, and only them. I also lost my father very young, something Charlie knew as he was giving me hell. The only reason I want to go back in time to stop this from happening is because of his kids so they don’t experience the same thing.
"But I will never, under any circumstances, feel sympathy for this terrible person," he added.
Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012 with businessman Bill Montgomery. He built a reputation debating students across college campuses and became a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.
After he was killed, a haunting post from June 23, 2014, resurfaced and drew widespread attention.
In it, the late right-wing influencer had written: "Did I just get shot by an AR-15? Feels like it."
The post quickly went viral, with one user responding: "How did he know," while another said: "Twitter done told the future," and a third added: "This is beyond uncanny."
Authorities have confirmed the weapon used in the killing was recovered, though further details have not been disclosed.
Kirk's wife, Erika Kirk, who is the mother of his two kids, has since taken over his role at Turning Point USA.
Last month, it was revealed that Trump had selected the 37-year-old to serve on the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, which oversees various aspects of the military institution.
This role was previously held by her late husband after the 79-year-old president selected him in March 2025.
"President Trump made the perfect choice in appointing Erika Kirk to the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors," White House spokesperson Olivia Wales said in a statement, per PEOPLE.
Wales added: "Charlie Kirk served proudly on the Board, inspiring not only the next generation of servicemembers, but millions around the world with his bold Christian faith, defense of the truth, and deep love of country.
"Erika Kirk will continue his legacy, and will be a fearless advocate for the most elite airpower force in the history of the world whose warriors keep our nation safe, strong, and free," the spokesperson continued.
