Donald Trump’s government has laid out four demands in order for the current situation in Minneapolis to end.
The city is currently in chaos after the shooting of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in a matter of days at the hands of ICE agents, creating widespread unrest and protests.
Minneapolis has been in chaos since the death of Alex Pretti
Trump and his government have come in for criticism since the shooting of Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse who was killed by ICE agents on January 24.
Despite Pretti being a legal gun owner with a concealed carry permit, he was shot by agents while allegedly trying to intervene to help a woman.
The second shooting came just days after the killing of Renee Good by ICE officer Jonathan Ross.
The officers shouted at him, and may have even disarmed him, according to some reports, before they shot him in the back.
A doctor who gave sworn testimony afterwards having attempted to treat Pretti in his last moments claims that ICE agents then stopped him from administering those attempts to save his life.
Donald Trump and Melania have since given their own statements, with the First Lady calling for unity and Trump announcing the start of an investigation in the circumstances.
However, now Trump’s White House has also issued a set of four demands in order to end the ICE-driven chaos in Minneapolis.
Trump’s four demands to end the Minneapolis ICE siege
Sharing the post on X in response to a New York Post article, the official White House account outlined the four things that they claim will end the ongoing conflict.
They are as follows:
1. Turn over all incarcerated or active warrant criminal illegal aliens for immediate deportation.
2. Transfer all criminal illegal aliens arrested by state and local police.
3. Assist federal authorities in detaining criminal illegal aliens wanted for crimes.
4. Democrats must work with the federal government in the rapid removal of all criminal illegal aliens.
The account concluded: “It's that simple. End the chaos.”
In his own statement, Trump told the Wall Street Journal: “We’re looking, we’re reviewing everything and will come out with a determination."
He added: “I don’t like any shooting. I don’t like it.
"But I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines loaded up with bullets also.
“That doesn’t play good either."
The city continues to experience unrest and protests against the ICE agents.
