A father who went viral after bringing his daughters into a women's service station restroom has received support from moms online.
Oklahoma dad Tyler Brodsky entered an empty women's restroom at an Alabama QuikTrip gas station with his daughters, saying that he chose it over the “dirty” men’s room, while driving home from Florida.
A man then chose to confront the father, who was filming on his phone, with the video ultimately going viral and racking up millions of views on TikTok.
Many on social media would have seen the clip as Brodsky can be seen trying to calm his two daughters down, who were in tears as the man shouted at him and called the police.
This resulted in a deep online discussion, as the majority couldn't agree on who was right, and who was wrong.
Despite the daughters' own mother not being a fan of the video being posted in the first place, other parents quickly showed their support for the father in the comments of his video.
Many said that he did what any parent would do in a similar situation, as one pointed out: "Your ability to remain calm for your girls is phenomenal."
Another wrote: As a girl mom, you did absolutely nothing wrong and even more kudos to you for keeping your cool, especially in front of your daughters, such a GOOD dad. Love to see it."
But this opened a wider discussion on the use of public restrooms, as a third explained: “I support that dad .. I would never send them to the bathroom alone nor would I ever want my husband to take my girls into the men’s room. This older guy is in the wrong.”
One of Brodsky's daughters can be seen clinging to her father in tears during the confrontation, as he tells her: "It’s alright, baby," as he tries to calm her down, as the man continues to be agitated in the background.
He claimed that his wife was trying to use the restroom with her ill mother when the father was spotted.
Another TikTok user commented: "I’m a girl mom and I’m proud of you protecting these babies," as another said: "Watching your little girl cry broke my heart."
Different supporters called him "awesome," adding that he "handled this properly."
Taking to the caption of the viral clip, he said: "The women’s restroom was empty, so I took them in. I’d rather do that than bring two little girls into a men’s bathroom full of grown men and dirty stalls.
“This guy comes barging in yelling, scares my daughters, and somehow thinks THEY should’ve been in the men’s room instead, am I wrong here?”
Firstly, the man who called the cops, a real estate agent, has officially lost his job after confronting the dad who didn't want to use the "dirty" men's room.
The company said in a statement that his behavior did not "reflect the values" of the company, and he was therefore fired.
The mother of the two children involved also weighed in, explaining: "I actually don’t love this outcome, as the mother of those two girls.
“Even though their dad handled the situation well, what everyone doesn’t see is the fear a mother has seeing their kids exposed all over the media.
“Over 20 million people have seen my girls.
“Not just being kids exposed all over. I see their dad approaching the man that scared my girls just for the video.”
She even claimed that Brodsky would profit financially from the video's success, though he 'hasn't paid one penny' to support them in recent times.
“So many people have used this video.
“Every time I open my phone I see my 3-year-old daughter in tears. It destroys me every single time," she concluded.
A GoFundMe has been set up following the incident, with many praising the father for his actions.

The mother of the children who became the subjects of a viral TikTok video has spoken out against the father of her daughters, who posted it online.
A man from Mississippi originally went viral for calling the police on the father in question, with the incident unfolding at an Alabama QuikTrip gas station.
With millions of views, the majority of those online will have seen something about the clip, showing the dad, Tyler Brodsky, in the woman's bathroom with his two young daughters, being berated by a man on the phone who calls the police.
But the peculiar turn of events sparked an online discussion, as people were split over who was right and who was wrong.
The man who called the cops, a real estate agent, has officially lost his job after confronting the dad who didn't want to use the "dirty" men's room.
After TMZ reported that the man in question was sacked by his company despite not being on work time, as per a representative for Starkville-based Overstreet Properties, the children's mom took to Facebook.
She didn't agree with Brodsky's actions as the father of her kids, writing: “I actually don’t love this outcome, as the mother of those two girls.
The verbal altercation between Brodsky and the man caused the kids to burst into tears, as they can be heard crying as the argument took place.
A female employee at QuikTrip stepped in to close the restroom door on the man, apologizing to Brodsky's family.
The man did not give up, arguing to the female employee that she should have taken the girls to the restroom instead of their father, claiming he had “no business” being there.
He could be heard explaining: "There is a man with his two little girls using the women's bathroom. He is washing his hands with his daughters right now.
"[My wife] is waiting to use the restroom with her mother, who is very ill, who is on life support. He is refusing [to leave] and taking his sweet time."
The father took to TikTok in a follow-up video, revealing that while three police officers did turn up to the gas station, they told him he wasn't in any trouble.
He recalled: “The officers let me know I was OK, I didn’t do anything wrong,” adding that they told the other man to leave the convenience store.
Brodsky praised the officers and the QuikTrip employees for how they treated his daughters, adding: “Hopefully it’ll bring attention to people that feel the need to berate a mom or dad trying to take care of their kids.”
The father has since told The Post that he wouldn't get sucked into a public back-and-forth with the mother of his children.

TMZ reported that the man was an independent contractor and licensed realtor who was on a personal trip unrelated to the company at the time of the incident, according to a representative for Starkville-based Overstreet Properties.
The company took to social media to post an official statement, reading: “Overstreet Properties is aware of videos circulating on social media depicting conduct by a former independent contractor during a personal trip that was unrelated to the company,

A doting father has spoken out about why he chooses to change his young daughter in women's restrooms and not men's.
Muhammed Nitoto is best known on social media as @chroniclesofdaddy, where he frequently shares his experiences as a father.
Like many fathers, part of his parenting journey involves him being out and about alone with his young daughters - and that means having to change them by himself.
However, in an attempt to shine a spotlight on the contended issue of public restrooms, Nitoto revealed in a recent Instagram post that he chooses to change his daughter's in women's restrooms. The father's post started with the attention-grabbing statement: "I TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO THE GIRLS BATHROOM".
His eloquent post continues: "As a dad being out with daughters I never thought the bathroom would become as big as a issue as it is.
"Usually we would go places and they have FAMILY bathroom which are meant for people with children but what I found was most places don't have them and Dads are left to decide between taking their daughters to the men's bathroom or the women's."
The father then explains: "Now when first hit with this choice I did what most men would do which is, I went to the Men's bathroom. Now I've been to a men's bathroom millions of times but walking in with your daughter makes you look at it completely different.
"Men's bathrooms are DISGUSTING. They smell like pee and nothing is setup for a woman or a person with a child. The changing table was right next to the urinal which means my child literally would be next to where men pee which she's being [changed]."
Nitoto revealed that after changing his daughter in a men's bathroom for the first time, he vowed never to do it again.
"I use the women's bathroom when I'm out with them," he writes. "They are too young to go on their own so I have to go in with them."
The father then explains his process, saying: "I try to be as respectful to women as I can while doing so which consists of knocking on the door before entering and announcing myself. Making sure if someone is inside that they know I am a Dad coming in with his daughter and making sure they are comfortable with that.
"Now once inside our stall I still am aware of the door and whenever I hear it open and someone new is coming in I announce myself again and make sure they know I'm inside with my child so that they aren't surprised."
Nitoto says that women's restrooms are, on the whole, much cleaner and set up in a more child-friendly way.
"The changing station is usually [inside] a stall instead of just in the open and it's always clean," he writes. "As a girl dad I can't help but want to protect my daughter's from all things that aren't for them and the men's bathroom is 100% one of those things."
He then asks his followers: "Am I the only one? Ladies how does this make you feel?"
In response to the post, many of Nitoto's followers praised his decision and his awareness about using women's restrooms.
One person commented: "thank you for being so thoughtful of women.. I have no problem with this at all, you shouldn’t have to take your daughter into the men’s toilet they are Disgusting.. No little girl should have to go through that experience.. Keep doing what you are doing [...] you should be proud of yourself".
A second added: "This approach is very respectful to women and your daughter, which I love".
A third commented: "So nice to hear that there is respect for everyone when this happens as it, as it is nice to see that you are keeping yourself, your daughter and other women safe by doing this. Your daughter will be proud how respectful you are towards women by doing this."
And a fourth Instagram user commented: "Yes, this is amazing. If any woman was upset by this they are nuts. Let them go use the disgusting men’s bathroom. You’re doing what’s best for your daughter and that should be celebrated."
So, is this something you'll be trying in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

A video has gone viral showing the moment two women were kicked out of a men's restroom - after they apparently didn't want to join the line for the women's.
Shared to TikTok by Barstool University of Arkansas (@barstoolua), the incident apparently occurred at Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion during a live country music concert on August 26, per the post's caption.
The video in question shows a security guard escorting two women out of a cubicle in the men's bathroom, as someone in the background shouts: "Get them out of here!"
As the women leave, another person says: "Get the f**k out of here," as cheering erupts from the men.
Check out the video below:Someone else can even be heard randomly shouting: "Let's go, Brandon!" in an apparent reference to a code for insulting President Joe Biden.
The text overlay on the TikTok read: "These guys did NOT like the girls using their bathroom instead of waiting in line."
It seems the video - which boasts over eight million views and half a million likes - has sparked an interesting debate in the comments section about whether women have the right to use the men's bathroom and vice versa - with user opinions divided over the situation.
One user questioned what would happen if the situation was reversed, writing: "Now if the roles were flipped…"
While another added: "If a dude did that [it'd] be a different story."
"Cops would be called if a guy did this and used the ladies' restroom because the line was long. See the girls laughing? They thought it was cute and quirky [sic]," another comment said.
Not everyone shared the same views, with one person stating: "Yeah, I get it but if the men's has free stalls and the girl's line is literally a 30-minute wait, I'm running to the free stalls [sic]."
One woman took to the comments section to offer her own experience, stating: "I've been told many times by MEN to use the men's room before them since the ladies had a long line. I guess that's the difference between a boy [and a] man."
This TikTok user seemed to agree, commenting: "Honestly I don't care either way if you gotta go [you] gotta go."
"Same toilet different sign. I [don't] care who uses it just FLUSH!" someone else chimed in.
An Insider report showed that women tend to wait much longer in line to use the restroom - a whopping 34-times longer.
"That's mostly because women take longer - they menstruate, they have more clothes to remove, and they're more likely to have children or the elderly with them," the report stated.
It's possible that this wait-time inequity may be a reason for the women using the men's restroom in the viral TikTok. But, regardless of the reason, when you gotta go you really gotta go.
A man who was forced to change his eight-month-old daughter on a "disgusting" public bathroom floor has slammed the facilities that are available to men, claiming it's time to recognise that fathers take care of their children too.
Chris Boneyard Mau, from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, took to Facebook in anger after he had to change his daughter Kali's diaper on the floor of a public toilet, something that he claims happens regularly.
Uploading unsettling images of his child lying on the floor of a McDonald's restaurant, dressed in nothing but a nappy, Mau claimed that it was time that baby changing tables were installed into men's bathrooms as well as women's and decried "asshats" who believed that only mothers look after their children.
"I'm getting pretty sick of having to change my daughter on a disgusting floor because the only changing table in the place is located in the women's bathroom," he wrote. "It's crazy to imagine I know but there are guys who take care of their kids too you asshats. If it's a public place with public restrooms in the generation of equality among genders and races then how about making sure us fathers can change our children's diapers on a goddamn changing table like the mother's can. Am I asking too much?"
[[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/boneyard.bomber/posts/747912012265421]]
Soon enough, his post went viral, gaining almost 50,000 likes and over 110,000 shares from angry parents who had experienced the same issue.
Dozens of people commented on his Facebook post, taking the opportunity to denounce public restrooms as "sexist". "This pissed me off like these restaurants are sexist. moms arent the only people or parent to change diapers," wrote Facebook user Aleasha Elderkin.
Shania Levesque agreed, pointing out that occasionally baby changing facilities weren't even available in women's toilets. She posted: "Ugh! I agree. I had to stop at a gas station to change my daughter and even I had to change her on the floor! Cause no changing table... They need to be everywhere!"
Talking to VT, Mau spoke of the shocking number of restrooms that leave parents unable to change a diaper in a sanitary and private manner. He said: "As a father, my children are my world, my very reason for existing and to be forced to change them on a floor or counter in a business with a children's play place when the solution is inexpensive and easy to resolve is atrocious. Is it really too much to ask for a public place with public restrooms to have proper diaper changing accommodations?"
However, not everyone was in support of Mau's actions, with many vilifying him for changing his baby on a dirty floor. An Imgur user with the username 'shhep ' slammed the young father, writing: "This boggles my mind. I'd go to women's toilet 100 times over changing my baby on a fucking floor of a public toilet, jesus f*cking christ."
Laura TheBeautician agreed, claiming that Mau made the wrong move and writing: "He could have sat on the toilet and put her on his lap now he might as well throw her away".
However, the father - who carries an emergency towel for instances like the one in McDonald's toilet - insists that the situation left him few options, saying: "There are people who disapprove of the manner in which I changed my daughter and honestly I don't think any less of them for disapproving. Unfortunately, the situation left very little options for me and my daughter and if I felt there was a better way to change Kali at the time I would have done it."
He continued: "As for the people who question my parenting abilities I humbly ask you to try on my shoes for a day and see how you handle what we face daily, there's no manual to being a perfect parent because perfection is nothing more than ones perception. Every kid is different and every situation is also so what makes it okay to judge the situation when you weren't there?"
The lack of changing facilities in men's bathrooms has been a problem in the public eye for years now, with hundreds of fathers complaining about the issue. In 2015, actor Ashton Kutcher launched a Change.org petition urging businesses to add changing stations to their men's restrooms after struggling while out with his first daughter Wyatt.
Furthermore, in 2016, former President Barack Obama signed the Bathrooms Accessible in Every Situation Act, which required all federally owned buildings to have changing stations fitted in both men's and women's bathrooms.
Despite this win for dads out there, the law still doesn't cover bathrooms that aren't in public buildings, such as restaurants or shops, and the issue continues to plague parents.
