Newly-elected House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene claims she plans to file articles of impeachment against Joe Biden on his first day as President on January 21.
Per the Daily Mail, Greene announced her impeachment plans in an interview with Newsmax, which she later shared with her 244,000 followers on Twitter.
In the interview in question, the Georgia Republican and staunch Trump supporter made specific references to the investigation of the President-Elect's son Hunter Biden, stating:
"We cannot have a president of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies.
"So, on January 21, I will be filing articles of impeachment on Joe Biden."

She continued:
"I'm a big believer in having people in office that are actually willing to do the job, and I can imagine people in this country being so fearful of a future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like they did in the Capitol here in Washington."
However, Greene was quick to add:
"We cannot have that, I do not condone that violence. The American people need to know there are Republicans in Congress that are willing to stand up and fight for them regardless of being in the minority, regardless of having odds against us."
On Twitter, Green captioned the footage of her video: "On January 21st, I’m filing Articles of Impeachment on President-elect @JoeBiden. 75 million Americans are fed up with inaction. It’s time to take a stand. I’m proud to be the voice of Republican voters who have been ignored."
Hunter Biden, a former investment advisor, is currently under investigation over his tax affairs, according to the BBC.

In a statement made to CNN on Wednesday, December 9, Hunter Biden confirmed that Delaware federal prosecutors, together with the IRS and the FBI, had launched an investigation into his prior business dealings.
Biden stated:
"I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney's Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs.
"I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors."

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump now faces his second impeachment as President, after a vote passed 232-194 by the House of Representatives on Wednesday, January 13.
The House voted to impeach Trump a week after a mob of pro-Trump protestors stormed the Capitol Building and interrupted the Electoral College's affirmation of Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election.
Journalists and politicians inside the Capitol Building were evacuated and Congress suspended until order could be restored by riot police. A total of five people have died as a result of the violence.
Many accused Trump, who has repeatedly made unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud on the part of the Biden campaign since the former Vice President was projected to become the 46th POTUS, of inciting the civil disorder in a speech delivered to the assembled protestors prior to the riot.
