Nude cruise operator reveals the wildest thing he's seen on board 'floating orgy' ship
A nude cruise operator has revealed what life is really like aboard a ship where thousands of adults descend on sex-positive and BDSM events.
The Kinky Cruise operates across the Caribbean, with guests able to attend everything from dungeon parties and BDSM workshops to clothing-optional excursions and adult-themed events, but despite the comprehensive list of sexual excursions, the company’s operator, Lee, claimed he was still caught off guard by one thing.
Nude cruise operator reveals craziest thing he's seen onboard
Speaking exclusively to VT, Lee, head of operations at Kinky Cruises, said: "The thing that surprised me most wasn't any particular sexual or kinky activity.
"It was how quickly all of it starts to feel completely normal."
Lee, who runs the operational side of the company and is regularly onboard when the cruises set sail, revealed that it is the oxymoron at hand that comes as the biggest surprise.
From guests sharing an elevator with someone dressed in a revealing theme-night outfit, to being sat having a leisurely breakfast fully clothed, acting like you haven’t just seen each other in a leather harness and strap-on dildo.
"By about day two, nobody even blinks," Lee revealed.
"What I wasn't prepared for was how quickly a ship with thousands of lifestyle guests can start to feel like a very friendly little town where people simply aren't judging one another.
"That's probably more surprising than anything that actually happens in the playrooms."
The sheer scale of the cruise is also something first-time guests reportedly underestimate, with the operator revealing that the most recent Kinky Cruise featured more than 400 programmed events, including playrooms, dungeon parties, meet-and-greets, pool parties and theme nights all forming part of the schedule.
Lee discusses raunchiest requests
While it may be matters concerning coital exchanges that are the juiciest requests cruise attendees have, Lee revealed that the reality is a little more mundane.
"You'd think the wildest requests would be sexual. Some of the funniest are actually about luggage," he admitted.
"We get people essentially asking us, 'How am I supposed to fit my entire wardrobe, sex toys and dungeon into a 50-pound suitcase?'"
The cruise operator even has dedicated packing advice for the problem, with the sheer weight of kink equipment becoming a genuine concern amongst cruisers, but despite the promiscuous reputation of the cruise, Lee insists guests aren't simply thrown together and expected to participate.
In fact, one of his biggest pieces of advice to newcomers is not to try to experience everything: "You do not have to do everything - and you can't," he claimed.
"You don't have to play with everyone, or anyone. You don't have to get naked. You don't even have to walk into a playroom or dungeon if you don't want to."
The cruise has more than 120 beds across its playrooms, with dedicated spaces for BDSM activities and socializing, while some areas are designed for larger groups.
But there are strict rules around what is allowed in those spaces, with Lee stressing that consent will always be the priority.
"Rule number one is consent. Everything else starts there.
"Nudity is not consent, flirtation is not consent, being in a playroom is not consent, and being on an adult lifestyle cruise certainly isn't consent," he stated.
Guests can potentially be removed from the ship at the next port for serious misconduct, including unwanted advances, prohibited sexual behavior, illegal drugs or flouting security instructions.
"It's an adults-only environment, but 'adult' doesn't mean 'anything goes,'" he claimed.
That distinction is particularly important because the cruise does allow sexual activity in designated areas, while other parts of the ship remain off-limits, but while nudity is permitted in certain areas, sex is restricted to designated play spaces, the dungeon and private cabins.
Phones and cameras are also banned from the playrooms, while guests cannot photograph other people without permission.
Discussing past cruises, one particular incident has never failed to make him laugh: “There was also the time security was searching my bag and my Magic Wand somehow jumped out, rolled across the floor and started vibrating.
“Everybody in the security area saw it. It got really quiet for about a second, and then everyone cracked up laughing.
From walking the plank, being left on a desert island, to partaking in one enormous floating orgy, Lee argues the biggest misconception is none of the above, but rather what daily life on the ship really looks like.
"Yes, there are clothing-optional decks. Yes, there are playrooms. Yes, there are dungeon parties and adult themed nights. And yes, there are sometimes orgies.
"But there are also people having breakfast, going to workshops, sitting by the pool, watching shows, going ashore, eating dinner, making friends and doing all of the things people normally do on a beautiful Caribbean cruise.
"You can go on one of our cruises and spend the entire week learning, socializing and vacationing without ever participating in sexual or BDSM play."
"It's not seven days of compulsory debauchery. It's seven days where adults have permission to decide for themselves what their vacation looks like."
According to Lee, that unexpected sense of normality and community is ultimately what keeps people returning.
"The headline is sex, nudity and BDSM. But the thing that brings a lot of people back is community."
