Man who went on 'adult-only' cruise put off after witnessing one unexpected act

A man who went on an 18+ cruise has revealed what he saw that put him off planning another trip.
Adult-only ships are more mature than regular family-friendly cruises, with the YouTuber sharing that things can get out of hand anywhere, despite it being against the rules.
Swingers are more open than ever before, and spicy cruises allow those in the lifestyle to explore their sexuality with like-minded adults.
There's a fair share of 18+ cruises to choose from in 2026, as more adults in open relationships look for safe spaces to explore new avenues.
Some of these are geared towards swingers, while others simply allow for adults to enjoy a cruise with no screaming children running around.
But back in April 2025, travel enthusiast Kirk Cruises posted a video titled 'What I Wish I Knew About Adult-Only Cruises Before I Sailed,' including one particularly disturbing admission.
The hot tub incident
You may have heard of the red room before, which gives swingers and open-minded couples to experiment in a safe space sexually, but the cruise worker saw something disturbing out in the open.
He first admitted that he was shocked by how many couples in their 30s and 40s were on board, with it being the first cruise for many.
The YouTuber explained: "Turns out no kids allowed is a selling point for everyone, from honeymoons to burnout Millennials who just want to sleep past 6:00 a.m."
He admitted that the entertainment was great, with comedians not needing to censor themselves, while dance shows can get steamier as the night goes on.
"It's less family fun and more strictly after dark," he said, before remembering 'the hot tub situation' which he witnessed on his third night.
"I'd just finished a show and thought, 'Oh, I'll have a little solo walk under the stars, totally harmless - I thought anyway," Kirk said.
He recalled: "I hadn't clocked three couples in one particular hot tub; let's just say the bubbles were the only thing getting frisky... Moral of the story: just because it's an adult-only cruise doesn't mean everyone's behaving like adults.
"And if you see three couples quietly giggle in one corner and no one moves for about 40 minutes, maybe try a different hot tub," he desperately warned budding cruise fans.
There is a step up from this, as spicy cruises provide adults the chance to enjoy nude zones and take part in sex-based workshops.

'Red room' on spicy cruise explained
The red room is one of the most mysterious areas on adult cruise ships, with phones and cameras prohibited.
Staff members also monitor the entrance to maintain privacy, with access usually limited to couples unless single guests are invited by a couple.
An intimacy coach named Kate Shelor shared what it really looks like in the red room in a viral TikTok.
The post garnered millions of views on the platform, as she gave viewers a glimpse into the mysterious room.
In the video, several mattresses are seen placed next to each other in a large space.
Her caption read: “The ADULT CRUISE is about to get WILD.”
Shelor led a subconscious sex seminar with 40 couples on board, who each had their own mattress in the red room.
She got couples to close their eyes and carry out erotic hypnosis exercises, as she explained: “It’s a whole room of people having sex with their partners together at the same time.”
