The final Epstein files have been released, with US Attorney General Pam Bondi also sharing a list of names - including Donald Trump - that appear in the files.
Speculation has been rife about exactly how many times Trump appears in the files, with some suggesting the figure is more times than Jesus appears in the Bible.
Pam Bondi confirms that the full Epstein files are now out
The Epstein files controversy promises to be one of the lasting memories of Donald Trump’s second term in charge.
The President is right at the center of the controversy around the disgraced billionaire, along with a bunch of high-profile world figures and celebrities.
However, even though some are in the files without any accusation of wrongdoing, and some are directly accused, Trump features more than any of them.
In fact, it had been claimed that he featured more times than Jesus Christ features in the Bible, or mentions of Harry Potter in all seven Harry Potter books.
That’s a lot of mentions, although - again - there is no current case against Trump and no official wrongdoing has been alleged.
The comparisons started with Democratic Representative Jared Moscowitz, who mentioned the number of times Trump appears back in December.
Then, fellow Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin also alleged that the POTUS appears ‘over a million times’ in the files.
That led many to question whether the claim is true or not, and more to ask exactly how many times Trump appears in the documents.
Donald Trump’s name comes up a lot in the Epstein files
There are 3.5 million files in total, and now they are all out in the open - or at least the redacted versions are.
However, what isn’t exactly clear - for a bunch of reasons - is exactly how many times Trump appears, redacted or not.
According to one Sky News report, Trump appears in searches 5,176 times, with 38,000 or so mentions of his name.
However, the New York Times has Trump at 5,300 mentions, including his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and wife Melania.
He also appears in several photos.
On those mentions, the US Department of Justice said: "Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,
“To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponised against President Trump already.”
But let’s get to the original claim.
Unless someone is willing to count up every single mention of Jesus in the Bible - one or other version - and then view the whole unredacted Epstein files, it’s hard to verify.
What’s more, there are a few names that could also be counted as a reference to JC - notably Lord, Almighty, Lamb of God, etc.
So, it’s hard to completely know for sure, other than the accepted fact that Trump appears in the Epstein files a lot of times.
