The woman who has gone viral over the last few weeks due to her belief that she could be Madeleine McCann has appeared in a new video.

Julia Wendell, a 21-year-old from Poland, had racked up quite the following on Instagram as she repeatedly claimed she could legitimately be the missing British girl.

Then-three-year-old Madeleine went missing in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007 while on vacation with her family.

Since 2020, convicted sex offender Christian Brueckner has been the prime suspect in her disappearance. He denies any involvement.

Last week, Julia suddenly shut down her Instagram account despite having built up a platform of followers dedicated to determining once and for all whether she is indeed Maddie.

While her account remains unavailable, she has appeared in two videos posted by another user on the platform, Dr Fia Johansson - who goes by the handle @persianmedium.

Check out the videos:

"I know that you are so happy and excited," Dr Johansson is heard telling Julia off-camera in the first video. "We have a lot to do and we have a lot to announce."

Dr Johansson then asks the young woman to share some words of wisdom with her "fans".

Julia, who was in an airport at the time the video was recorded, responds by saying: "Never give up and believe in yourself. Dreams come true."

In the second clip, Julia is heard saying: "You make my dreams come true…[I’m] so excited.

"Jesus, thank you Fia… I love you…" she adds while laughing as she walks over towards her departure gate.

Julia has had millions of people talking after she set up a now-deleted account with the aim of convincing people that she is the British girl who was abducted 16 years ago.

Over the past few weeks, Julia has posted a number of photos of her as a little girl, drawing attention to her perceived resemblance to Maddie, who also had a speck in her eye and freckle on her leg.

Julia sought the help of Dr Johansson, who is a private investigator and self-professed medium, in her bid to prove that she is Madeleine.

In a previous Instagram video, which has gained thousands of likes, Dr Johansson urged commenters online to be kinder to the 21-year-old.

Per The Irish Mirror, she said in her post: "Julia's mental health, at this moment, it's not okay because of a lot of haters out there, because of a lot of comments and a lot of nastiness that went through directly to her skin.

"At this moment, she needs help. I do understand that 50 per cent of you guys hate her now to the hundredth degree, just because you guys think and believe that she's 'not the real person, that she's not Madeleine, she's this and that'.

"I'm telling you guys, my team and me, we are investigating already about her family, her background, where she came from, which family she belonged to, what school actually she went to, and all other details."
