All right, 90's kids, I know we've gotten your hopes up before. Earlier this year, the Spice Girls reunited for the first time in six years. Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell gathered together at Geri's house in Hertfordshire, England. As the fans squeed, the group released a statement:

"The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

TMZ reported the group was discussing a reunion tour, which is what the fans want, what they really really want. Unfortunately, that fell through. Victoria told Vogue, "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour." Thanks a lot, Posh Spice. More like Buzzkill Spice. Jerk. Anyway, the girls said they discussed other projects, like a greatest hits album, TV show and endorsement deals.

Then in February, Mel B  - aka Scary Spice - appeared on The Talk and revealed she was going to the Royal Wedding. When asked who else was attending the event, Mel added, "Well us five Spice Girls." "Will the Spice Girls be performing at the reception?" asked host Loni Love. "Ah, this is where I'm just like," replied Mel B. Then she threw her hands up in exasperation and the other hosts screamed with joy, interpreting that as a 'yes'.

But the answer not a yes. The Royal Wedding came and went, without any report of a Spice Girls performance. Sadly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could not slam their body down and wind it all around. This seemed to put the kibosh on the big reunion - that is, until Mel B stirred speculation once again on Instagram.

She shared a photo of five "sexy drag queen playmates" in Spice Girls costumes. In the caption, she wrote a tour would "actually happen soon."

Well, if you trust the word of Scary Spice, get excited. On Wednesday, Mel B appeared on The Today Show, and confirmed the reunion tour is happening. She told host Hoda Kotb, "I’m the only one that keeps on saying we’re going to be performing, which we are gonna be performing. Finally, they’ve got it together. Yes."

Later in the chat, she shut down the rumor that Victoria was opposed to the reunion tour. "She’s always saying that," said Mel B. "Stop it. We are touring. Should I have really said that out loud? Yes, we are going to be doing performances together for sure."

Okay, I know that sounds exciting, 90's kids. But you might want to wait until some dates to be announced before you dig up your Doc Martens. I don't want your heart to get broken again.

Spice Girls fans got a rare treat this weekend, as all five original band members reunited for a special performance in honor of Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday party.

Victoria, 50, made sure to celebrate reaching her fifth decade in style with a lavish party on Saturday night, inviting all of her famous friends.

The guest list included her bestie Eva Longoria, Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Salma Hayek, as well as Jason Statham and his wife Rosie Huntington-Whiteley director Guy Ritchie, and former Vogue editor Edward Enninful.

However, despite all the stars in attendance, all eyes were on five ladies - Victoria, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton, as they reunited as the Spice Girls for a very special performance.

Victoria's husband, David Beckham, was on hand to capture the iconic moment, standing front row and looking like the band's biggest fan.

The British group were seen singing and dancing to one of their hits, 'Stop', in a rare appearance of all five of them being together.

The band formed back in 1994 and quickly became one of the biggest girl bands on the planet, and fans have been begging for them to tour as a five once again.

The Spice Girls have done reunion tours in recent years, however, it's not usually been with every member present.

David was just as excited as any fan could be, writing in the caption: "I mean come on," and tagging all five of the band members in his post.

Victoria also shared the joyful clip, writing: "best night ever! Happy Birrthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife."

Fans were delighted that David captured the special moment, commenting: "The moment the entire planet has been waiting for" and: "David you are the best social media manager out there, thank you for giving the people CONTENT."

Others added: "Spice Girls i really need you to do a tour or something," "The way a whole generation is SHAKING," and: "Thank you David for giving the people what they want!!!!!!!!!!!"

One simply commented: "omg!!!! they’re so amazing when together."

The Spice Girls formed in 1994 and soon took over the world, but in 1998 Geri announced she was leaving to focus on her solo career, before the group disbanded in 2000.

After carving out solo careers both in and out of music, the singers eventually did reunite in 2007 for the Return of the Spice Girls Tour, and again in 2012 for the Summer Olympics in London.

The band toured again in 2019, however it was as a foursome without Victoria.

Just last month, Mel B teased that Spice fans were in for a treat for the upcoming 30th anniversary of the band this year, saying on the UK show Loose Women: "We are definitely doing something...I'm probably going to get told off but I've said it, there we go! We are doing something this year. I'm in trouble now…"

Despite Mel B's insistence that the group were cooking something up, back in February, Mel C said: "I adore [Mel B] and she has this thing, and it can sometimes get us into hot water. Of course, we're always talking, we'd love to do something else.

"I'd love to get back on stage with the girls but everybody wants to do something a little bit different or in a different way, so it's just trying to get everyone on the same page at the same time."

She added: "But Melanie likes to manifest things and she thinks if she says it enough, it will happen. I can't confirm that there is anything happening soon but we're always talking about opportunities."

Earlier this month, Victoria also shared her thoughts on what they could do for the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls, telling Radio France: "We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls. It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate - a dinner or a lunch - and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that."

An insider revealed that Victoria was delighted to have her bandmates at her party, which took place at London private members' club Oswald's with 100 guests.

They explained: "It meant the world to Victoria that they were all there. They were a huge part of her life and they shared so much together.

"They were special days and so of course to have them there to mark her 50th was just wonderful for her. It made everything so perfect."

Now here's hoping a tour will follow!
