Fans have praised Adele after she called out a concertgoer for using a filter on her during her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas.

The singer, 34, finally began her long-awaited residency at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace at the end of November, after having delayed it from January.

Adele had faced backlash after announcing the cancellation of her run of shows just a day before they had been due to begin, meaning many fans had already traveled from abroad to be there.

Despite the hold-up - which she said was down to her production not being ready at the start of the year due to pandemic-related delays - her residency has been a resounding success.

Fans have been thrilled with the incredible visuals and effects - including Adele disappearing into a puff of confetti at the end of the show - as well as finally getting to see the legendary singer in the flesh.

During her shows, Adele has been interacting with her fans, including one who got a bit over-excited to get so close to her idol last weekend.

Model Jamy G looked overwhelmed as Adele picked her out of the crowd to speak to at a recent show, but got a little more than she bargained for when the singer spotted that she was recording her using a filter.

Check out the moment below:

Adele went over to Jamy to comment on the fact that she had worn a T-shirt with Jennifer Lopez's face on it to her show - a bold choice - but quickly recoiled after catching sight of herself on the front camera.

She said: "I love that you’ve come to my show wearing a J.Lo T-shirt, what’s this?", before exclaiming: "Is there a filter on that?!"

In her classic London twang, Adele added: "Oh my god, what have you done to my face? Woah, get that filter off my face, that’s so weird!”

She asked the fan: "Why are you doing filters like that? We don’t look like that, darling," to which Jamy responded: "I know.”

The pair's interaction continued with Jamy bursting into tears, which led the 'Hello' star to wrap her into a hug and joke: "Don’t cry! Oh baby, don’t cry… You don’t want J.Lo to see you cry!”

Fans were quick to praise Adele for calling out the use of a filter, dubbing her a "real one" - and for the sweet way she handled the interaction.

They commented: "When she said 'WOAH GIRL' bahaha" and "OMG I would have been so embarrassed. This was a message to say: Hey gurl!! No filter, stay natural."

Another wrote: "I love Adele, telling you to love yourself," while someone else added: "‘We don’t look like that darling’ SHES A REAL ONE."

In January, Adele apologized to fans in a tearful video after being forced to cancel the original run of the residency.

She said at the time: "We've tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you. But we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid."

The 'When We Were Young' chart-topper added: "I’m so upset, and I’m really embarrassed, and I’m so sorry to everyone that’s traveled [to Vegas]."

The rescheduled dates will now run from November until March on weekends, and the show has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike - proving it was worth the wait.
