Singer Aubrey O'Day says a male flight attendant forced to take her top off on an American Airlines plane and turn it inside out before she was allowed to fly, USA Today reports.

The Danity Kane singer tweeted: "never have I flown & had the steward treat me like a punished lil child in timeout the entire flight.. including making me undress in front of the entire plane because he didn’t like my shirt & made me turn inside out in order to fly."

She also named the attendant and called for his dismissal.

"I was SHOCKED. I literally had to have my breasts in a bra out in front of everyone around me in order to not get kicked off. The girl next to me held up her blanket cuz she felt bad," she added.

Naturally, many followers were appalled by O'Day's alleged treatment.

"How can American Airlines allow its flight attendant to sexually harass and humiliate a woman like this on one of its flights? Despicable." one person wrote. "Taking my business elsewhere."

In a statement to USA TODAY, spokeswoman Whitney Zastrow said the airline is "reviewing the situation, and have reached out to Ms O’Day to get more information."

Subsequently, American Airlines replied to her tweets asking for additional details, to which O'Day responded, "I gave you his name. I literally have no interest in dealing with your airline any further. I’m that offended and disturbed. I wish I took @JetBlue."

It is not known why the 35-year-old was asked to remove her top and wear it inside out, however, one Twitter user claims that it had nude bodies on it and was "extremely vulgar".

Another Twitter user accused O'Day of dishonesty. "She’s lying!" they said. "There are a bunch of us that were on the plane that can vouch for your amazing crew."

American Airlines is currently reviewing the situation, according to Fox News.
