A young woman was reduced to tears over a shocking confrontation she had with a flight attendant.
In a TikTok posted on August 1, Sierra Steadman claimed that she was harassed by a member of the cabin crew on a recent Alaska Airlines flight when she was traveling to California to play volleyball.
Sierra can be seen wearing a mask and openly weeping over her humiliating ordeal in the video shared on social media.
Sierra said she had "never felt more degraded, ashamed, embarrassed, angry or sad," writing:
"When the flight attendant s1uT shames you in front of the whole plane and threatens to kick you off for what your wearing. [sic]"
In a follow-up video, she testified that she had been wearing a crop top, a hoodie, and shorts when the stewardess took exception to her outfit.
She later took to the comments section of her own video, to elaborate the Alaska Airlines employee grabbed her arm and started screaming at her why she tried to walk away.
Her post clearly resonated with other TikTok users, racking up over 9.1 million views and over 12,000 supportive comments, at the time of writing.

One flight attendant wrote: "Hi love, Flight attendant here! Please report her to [customer] service. These older flight attendants with their old ways need to start retiring!"

A second added: "Honestly she is probably jealous that she isn't confident enough to wear those clothes so just know you're beautiful."

Another added: "They're legally not allowed to do that. And their boss is probably on board."

While a stewardess wrote: "As a flight attendant, I'm so sorry that happened to you [...] she was probably jealous cause 99% of us could care less about what passengers wear."

Finally, another penned: "I've literally never heard of a plane dress code it's a public place just like the rest of the world that's so wrong you shouldn't have had to go."
In a later video, Sierra said her mother Shannon emailed Alaska Airlines after filing a complaint. She then shared a spokesperson's response, which read: "Alaska strives to provide exceptional service to our customers. From what you have shared, it is apparent that we have failed."

The spokesperson continued: "You and your daughter should expect nothing less than to be treated with the utmost respect, compassion, and care.
"It is truly disappointing to hear that you both did not feel that way during boarding and during the interactions with our flight attendant."
They added: "We want to assure you that we take these matters very seriously and have shared your concern with our Inflight Management team that will conduct an internal investigation.
"Due to privacy concerns, we will not be able to disclose any findings, but can guarantee you that this will be reviewed."
