Britney Spears slams father's control as she admits 'this conservatorship has killed my dreams'

Britney Spears has lashed out at her father amid her continuing legal battles.

The 39-year-old pop idol took to her Instagram account on Saturday, July 17, to share an image with her 31.7 million followers alongside a candid caption.

"Take me as I am, or kiss my *ss, eat s***, and step on Legos," the image read.

In a lengthy caption, the pop idol touched on the subject of social media trolls who had criticized her dancing videos and also lambasted her father's controversial conservatorship.

The singer wrote:

"For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos ... look I'm not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think! [sic]"

She continued: "My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams ... so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill ... yet people still try!!!!

"I didn't like the way the documentaries bring up humiliating moments from the past ... I'm way past all that and have been for a long time !!!! [sic]"

Her post clearly resonated with her many fans and followers as it racked up 2 million reactions and a further 130,000 comments, at the time of writing.
