John Legend has revealed that he and wife Chrissy Teigen considered moving out of the US because of President Donald Trump's "embarrassing" leadership.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the 41-year-old singer said the couple has become "exhausted" by Trump.
The Voice judge said: "Every once in a while you think about it.
"We were born and raised here, all of our families are here. It would be hard to leave. But I don’t know what one’s supposed to do when you have a leader who is trying to destroy democracy."
Legend, who is expecting his third child with wife Teigen, added: "At some point, if that project [to destroy democracy] was to be in any way successful, you’d have to think about going somewhere that is a true democracy, that has respect for the rule of law and human rights."

The 'All of Me' singer added:
"If America chooses to be that place then people will have to start thinking about going somewhere else. It is truly disturbing and concerning."
With the presidential election coming to an end on November 3, Legend also revealed how he thinking the people of the US will vote.
"I’m not nervous. I strongly believe America is exhausted from three and a half years of Donald Trump," Legend said, adding: "Exhausted from the daily efforts to destroy democracy and the free press."
Slamming Trump's "embarrassing" handling of the ongoing pandemic, Legend declared that the huge loss of life caused by COVID-19 was "preventable".
Finally, the singer added: "I think people are just exhausted and ready for new leadership: sane leadership, empathetic leadership. Joe Biden can bring that to the country.
"We can’t bear another four years of this."
This is far from the first time Teigen and Legend have traded jibes with President Trump.
Last year, while tweeting about Criminal Justice Reform legislation, Trump branded Legend "boring" and slammed Teigen for being "filthy-mouthed".

And earlier this year, the 34-year-old model wasn't afraid to get colorful with her language when she slammed the President's response to having a test for COVID-19.
During a press conference in March, the POTUS was asked by one reporter: "What was it like taking the test?"
Providing an honest response, Trump said: "[It's] not something I'd want to do every day, I can tell you that," adding "It’s a test. It’s a medical test. Nothing pleasant about it."

Unimpressed by Trump's retort, Teigen wrote on Twitter: "[My] vagina was ripped to my a**hole giving birth to Luna. I had a vagasshole. f**k your swab pain."
