Demi Lovato has appeared to have thrown some shade at their ex-fiancé with a cheeky comment on a viral Instagram post.
The 29-year-old chart-topper was engaged to actor Max Ehrich, 30, following a romantic Malibu beach proposal back in July 2020. However, just two months later, it was revealed that the pair had called off the engagement.
The breakup came as quite a surprise to Lovato's fans, after the non-binary singer - who goes by the pronouns they/them - declared in an Instagram post that they were "ecastatic to start a family and life" with Ehrich.
Nevertheless, it would appear as if the relationship did not leave a lasting impression on the 'Cool For The Summer' hitmaker, as they recently appeared to take a swipe at Ehrich on Instagram.
Bellesa - a sex toy company that Lovato has collaborated with in the past - recently shared a post reading: "Describe your last relationship in three words."
The post racked up hundreds of replies on the social media platform, with users leaving comments like "I deserve better" and "Better as friends".
However, fans also spotted that Lovato left a comment, which simply read: "My vibrator’s better."
Seeing as Lovato hasn't gone public with any relationship since Ehrich, fans have come to the conclusion that they must be talking about their ex-fiancé.
In fact, in an apparent response to Lovato's comment, Ehrich recently took to Twitter to share a shirtless snap, along with the caption: "I never have complaints." However, that post has since been deleted from his Twitter account.
But this certainly isn't the first time the pair have gone back and forth on social media.
Just months after their separation, Lovato referenced the split during their monologue at the 2020 People's Choice Awards. Speaking about how the pandemic had impacted their life, Lovato said: "I did what everyone else did, I went into lockdown mode, and got engaged."
Lovato then added: "I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert. So basically the same as everyone else."
In response to the comments, Ehrich commented on one of Lovato's Instagram posts saying: "Stop talking about me on award shows. Thanks."
A second comment added: "Exploiting our breakup for clout at [the People's Choice Awards] is not chill."
