IHOP has responded to a viral TikTok video of Adam Sandler being accidentally turned away from one of their restaurants.
In an official statement, IHOP announced that as a tribute to the Punch Drunk Love actor, Monday, May 10, will be declared "Milkshake Mondays".
This means that all 19 IHOP locations in Long Island, New York - where Sandler was attempting to dine- are offering all-you-can-drink milkshakes from 12:00 to 8:00 PM.
Not only that, but for every IHOP milkshake sold nationwide on that date, IHOP will donate $1 to Comedy Gives Back, a nonprofit organization helping comedians negatively affected by the COVID pandemic, which Sandler himself raised money for previously.
Per People magazine, CEO of Comedy Gives Back Amber J. Lawson commented on the venture by stating:
"We are thrilled to celebrate 'Milkshake Monday' at IHOP in the spirit of a cheeky smile for a good cause.
"A delicious meal of pancakes and milkshakes can make you happy any time of day, and while we could all use a laugh right about now, some could use a lot more."

Lawson added: "A handful of comedians are household names, but the majority are not; we are grateful for IHOP's support to help working comedians stay afloat in this challenging time."
The original CCTV footage of Sandler walking away from IHOP was first shared on TikTok on April 25 by oblivious waitress Dayanna Rodas.
Rodas admitted in her post that she had not recognized the star when he visited the Lond Island restaurant, and she told him that it would be a 30-minute wait before he could be seated.
Take a look at the original TikTok video right here:Sharing a video of herself with a clown face filter, Rodas mocked her own ignorance of her customer's celebrity status with a video entitled: "Pleaseee come back. [sic]"
Rodas' post has now racked up over 11 million views, 2.3 million reactions, and a further 19,000 comments at the time of writing.
Sandler himself later addressed the video in a tweet made to his 2.8 million followers on Twitter.
Making light of his eating habits and the situation, the 54-year-old Uncut Gems star tweeted: "For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes."
A spokesperson for IHOP itself then retweeted him, stating: "You know what, @AdamSandler, you may be onto something here. In your honor, we’d like to declare May 10th, 2021 #MilkshakeMonday at IHOP. More sweet details to follow. [sic]"
