Jennifer Aniston admitted she was once mortified of a kissing scene that she had with a teenage actor.
The Friends actor has been in the entertainment industry for decades now, so it takes a lot to throw her off her game.
But in an old interview, Aniston revealed that her time on We're the Millers included a scene which left her feeling concerned.
Aniston starred alongside Emma Roberts, Jason Sudeikis, and Will Poulter in the 2013 comedy, which is widely regarded as a classic.
The plot followed a drug dealer (Sudeikis) who recruits a fake family (Aniston, Roberts, and Poulter) to help smuggle drugs from Mexico across the border and evade border control successfully.
There are a number of hilarious and cringeworthy scenes in the film, but it's one involving Aniston and Roberts' characters teaching Poulter's character to kiss, despite being his fake on-screen mom and sister.
The actress thought she was getting herself into hot water before her kissing scene with Poulter, as his character had never been with a girl before.
Speaking on an episode of Conan back in 2013, the then-45-year-old admitted: "It’s so disturbing. He’s very young. He was underage. I thought, this is kind of illegal.
"It was just a kiss. That’s not illegal," the veteran actor did then clarify.
But the scene was one of the more memorable moments of the film, even winning an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, as we see Aniston and Roberts teach Poulter how to do the deed.
Speaking to The Independent years later, Poulter had nothing but praise for his former on-screen fake mom.
“She took care of me, and was aware that, being a 19-year-old kid in that scenario, I was very nervous,” he said in 2022.
“This was before intimacy coordinators, which I really would have appreciated, and I’m sure Emma and Jen would have, too.”
Poulter then explained: “It’s one of those things – any scene where there’s some level of intimacy in the context of a broad comedy, where it’s very much a joke and it’s not played with romantic sincerity, is always really awkward.
“Obviously my main concern in that moment was for Jen and Emma, who I felt very sorry for.”
Speaking to Collider in 2013, Poulter claimed that the whole scene was actually Aniston's idea, saying: "I think it was Jen who thought it would be funny if Rose joined in, which made all the difference in the sequence,
"It was kind of a bizarre scene to film, we kind of just laughed our way through it. It was a very awkward day for all involved."
