Ken Urker's sister reveals his final words and raises questions over Gypsy Rose's partner's death
Ken Urker's sister has spoken out after the late partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard was found dead on what would have been his 34th birthday.
As previously reported, Urker, who was once engaged to Gypsy Rose and was the father of her daughter, Aurora, was found unresponsive at his home in Louisiana.
In response to the incident, the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office said: “We responded to a residence in Raceland today after receiving a call at 6:15PM. Kenan Urker, 34, was found dead upon arrival.
"At this time, we are continuing the death investigation.”
Following the news of Urker's death, Blanchard - who came to public notoriety after being jailed for the murder of her abusive mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, along with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn - shared a tribute.
She told TMZ in a statement: "Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved.
"[He will] forever be my soulmate and my red string. A connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase."
Blanchard added that Urker had faced an "unimaginable level of public scrutiny" and "relentless cyberbullying" on social media, adding that the "cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure."
She said that she believed the harassment he'd faced had had a "profound impact" on Urker, and later claimed to TMZ that she believed his death may have been down to an overdose after an unidentified substance was found near his body.
Blanchard and Urker had first met through a prison penpal program during her eight years behind bars for her role in the murder of her mother, and Urker had proposed during a prison visit in October 2018.
The couple ended up splitting, and Blanchard had a much-publicized relationship with Ryan Scott Anderson, who she married while she was incarcerated, divorcing him three months after her release and rekindling her romance with Urker shortly afterward.
Following Urker's death being confirmed, his sister, Autumn, took to TikTok Live where she sobbed and spoke about his passing.
According to reports from Page Six, Autumn shared that her brother's final words to her were: "I love you."
Revealing details of their final conversation, she added: "When I talked to him last night, he said he was going home to go to sleep and then he had work in the morning."
She claimed: "Gypsy’s brother Dylan [Blanchard], his wife and another woman, who does not want me to say her name, found Ken.
"They were all at church last night, and Ken was emotional, and they had dinner or something planned today, and they went over there and found him."
According to OK!, Autumn allegedly told her followers that she believes her brother did not die of "natural causes", but stressed that law enforcement doesn’t suspect foul play.
Urker's official cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
