Lily Allen has candidly shared that she lost her virginity when she was just 12 years old.
The 38-year-old mom-of-two who tied the knot with Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 48, in 2020, was on vacation with her dad, now 69, and younger brother Alfie, 36, when the ordeal happened.
She spoke about it with Alan Carr, 47, on his Life’s A Beach podcast, explaining that she had gone missing as a mere pre-teen.
Lily said: "I actually went missing. I lost my virginity to a guy called Fernando in Brazil. When I was about 12, no I am not joking. Never spoke to him again.
"They thought I actually went missing. I went to his hotel room, and I was on holiday with my dad and brother, and obviously didn’t come back to my room."
Lily went on to say she "slept in the next day", and said: "I woke up and there was police all over the hotel."
She said: "They were literally combing the beach and had T-shirts (asking), 'Is this what she was wearing?' I didn’t have the heart to say, 'No, I was just losing my virginity'. It was all a bit traumatic, and I didn’t have sex again then for a while."
Essentially, this was a case of statutory rape. This means that underage children can never consent.
Back in 2018, Lily recalled how she had sex with a famous friend of her father when she was just 14.
She recounted the incident in her memoir, My Thoughts Exactly, in which she said her dad turned it into a "joke".
Lily recalled how she was sent to a hotel to return the the man's football kit after he had taken part in a charity match.
She alleges that she met him in the hotel bar and that he had bought her some drinks before they had sex in one of the rooms. Lily penned: "I was 14. He was 19, but to me he seemed like someone from a different generation. Afterwards, I felt funny about it. I knew what had happened wasn’t right."
She said she was afraid to tell her father what had happened, but when he did find out, she says he made light of it.

Lily Allen has candidly opened up about a past sexual encounter with a well-known TV star that took place when she was still very young.
The 40-year-old singer recalled the experience during an episode of her Miss Me? podcast, which she co-hosted with her close friend, presenter Miquita Oliver, before stepping away from the show to focus on other projects.
Known for its unfiltered conversations, the podcast often explored entertainment news, current events, and personal stories from the pair’s time in the industry - including Allen’s revelation.
Although she chose not to reveal his identity, the 'Smile' hitmaker noted that the encounter with the TV star left a lasting impression, not necessarily for good reasons.
“I’m not going to say this person’s name, but you know that TV star that I had sex with when I was very young?" she said. "When I went to his hotel, he put on the Moby album," she continued. “And I cannot, if it comes on, I’m just like… it was that period of time and he thought it was so cool."
This isn't the first time the 'Smile' hitmaker has discussed her past hookups, as she spoke about one in her 2018 memoir, My Thoughts Exactly, which is about "feminism, the tabloids, money, faking orgasms, bad managers, fame, sexual abuse, mental health, narcissism, co-dependency, festivals, motherhood, stalking and parking tickets," per NME.
In the book, Allen referred to the time she slept with a TV star after watching him in a charity football game. However, she didn’t confirm in the podcast episode whether she was talking about the same person or not.
"After the match, the TV star left his football gear in my dad’s car, and I was dispatched to his hotel to return it," she said. “We arranged to meet in the bar there. He bought me a couple of drinks, then took me up to his room and had sex with me. I was 14. He was 19, but to me, he seemed like someone from a different generation. Afterwards, I felt funny about it. I knew what had happened wasn’t right.”
"My dad turned it into a shtick with his friends. They made up elaborate schemes to blackmail the guy and they rehearsed how they'd call him up and put the s**ts up him. I just know that my dad turned me having sex with this guy I hardly knew into a joke between him and his mates. That didn't make me feel good," she added.
In a separate, equally honest discussion on the Miss Me? podcast, the 'Hard Out Here' songstress revealed that she "can't remember" exactly how many abortions she has had in her lifetime.
Allen told her co-host that she would "get pregnant all the time," adding: “Abortions, I’ve had a few, but then again, I can’t remember exactly how many… I think maybe like, I want to say four or five.”
Oliver chimed in that she’s had “about five, too," and then said: “Lily, I’m so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment... We’ve had about the same amount of abortions.”
The 'LDN' songstress then shared one of her experiences: “I remember once getting pregnant and the man paying for my abortion, and me thinking it was so romantic.” However, her view later changed as she realized that it's not "generous or romantic." She then alleged that the man never texted her afterward. “Fair [to be honest], I was a f***en crazy b***h, still am,” she quipped.

David Harbour has addressed Lily Allen's cheating allegations for the first time since the release of her fifth studio album.
The Stranger Things star and the 'Smile' singer split in early 2025 after four years of marriage, and Allen later released her album West End Girl, which many listeners believed was about the breakdown of their relationship.
Throughout the project, the 41-year-old singer-songwriter touched on the themes of infidelity, open relationships, gaslighting, and sex addiction.
On a track titled 'Madeline,' Allen appeared to sing about reluctantly accepting the conditions of an open marriage.
"We had an arrangement, be discreet and don't be blatant / There had to be payment, it had to be with strangers," she sings, before asking: "Is it just sex or is there emotion?"
In another song called 'P**sy Palace', she references coming home to "a shoebox full of handwritten letters from brokenhearted women".
And in the album's closing track 'Let You W/In,' she sang: "I will not absorb your shame, it's you who put me through this."
"I can walk out with my dignity, if I lay my truth on the table," she added.
Harbour, 51, had remained largely silent about the album since its release, but has now addressed it during an interview with Variety.
"It was weird," he said about the album's release. "I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that."
"I can't really say that much more, because it's my private life. In spite of the fact that a lot of people don't allow me a private life - I value it. And I also value the lives of the people that I interact with privately. I just won't speak about that."
When asked whether he wanted to respond to any of the claims made on the record, the Hellboy actor declined.
"Stories are complex, and that’s why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience. It wasn’t my experience," he said.
Allen has never explicitly confirmed who or what inspired specific songs on the album, though she previously described West End Girl as "a mixture of fact and fiction which I hope serves as a reminder of how stoic yet also how frail we humans can be," per The Independent.
Speaking to The Perfect Magazine, the 'Hard Out Here' singer explained why she was determined to create a project that pushed boundaries.
"If what you're doing isn't provocative, what's the f***ing point?" she said. "And if it's not scary, what's the point? I'm not here to be mediocre."
"My gift is my pen and my writing and the way that I observe the world. It’s not singing, really, and it’s not certainly not dance routines, and it’s not whatever else it is that other artists might have going in their favour. My strength is my ability to tell a story. And so I’m going to lean into that. I have to. It’s all I have," she added.
She also stressed that commercial success was never the driving force behind the project.
"None of this album or anything around it, apart from the sexy photos, has been approached with commercial success in mind," Allen said.
The end of the marriage was challenging for both Allen and Harbour.
Following the split, the 'LDN' songstress checked herself into a treatment facility at the start of 2025.
"The feelings of despair that I was experiencing were so strong," she told British Vogue later that year, adding that it was the closest she had come to relapsing after six years of sobriety.
"I've been into those places before against my will, and I feel like that's progress in itself," she continued. "That's strength. I knew that the things I was feeling were too extreme to be able to manage, and I was like, 'I need some time away.'"
Harbour also revealed that he suffered a nervous breakdown in December, causing him to miss celebrations surrounding the final season of Stranger Things.
"I do suffer from some confusing stuff - it's confusing as hell," he told Variety. "I think a lot of people have a friend or a brother or a co-worker that deals with mental health stuff, and they're probably pretty confused when that person gets depressed or gets manic or has an episode."
He added: "Under times of extreme stress, that can cause somewhat erratic behavior, and it's embarrassing, and I'm ashamed of it. It's not something I choose, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy."

Lily Allen has opened up about her she reacted when her ex-husband David Harbour made some quite forward sexual requests.
The celebrity couple’s relationship became the subject of intense speculation after reports surfaced that Harbour, 49, had an active profile on the celebrity dating app Raya, per the Daily Mail.
Allen, 39, reportedly uncovered the profile through her own investigation, leading to their separation.
The singer was seen in New York on Tuesday, looking downcast and without her wedding ring, fueling rumors about the breakdown of their marriage.
While the couple has not made any public statements about their split, Allen previously alluded to challenges in their relationship during episodes of her podcast, Miss Me?.
In one episode, she opened up about her husband’s sexual preferences.
"I wonder if I kink-shame my husband,” Allen said last summer. “Because he quite often asks for things, and I’m like: ‘No, babe, it’s not happening.’”
She added: “I’m not like: ‘You piece of s***, how dare you ask me to do that!’ I’m just like: ‘Hmm, headache. Little headache, got a bit of a headache – maybe not tonight.’”
In another episode, Allen revealed she used AI to draft arguments during disputes with Harbour.
“If me and David have had an argument and I need to articulate it, I’ll be like, ‘Write me a long text message about an argument that started with the dishwasher and ended in an argument about our finances.’”
Reports suggest Allen turned detective to confirm her suspicions about Harbour’s activities.
According to The Daily Mail, she rejoined Raya, where she had originally met Harbour, and discovered his profile, which described him as “visiting New York from Atlanta” and a “closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV.”
His chosen profile song was Led Zeppelin’s Houses of the Holy.
A source claimed: “Lily was looking for women on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing.”
The insider added: “She has never even looked at anyone else since she met David. She is devastated.”
Allen reportedly called off the relationship a month before Christmas. The couple had planned a holiday together in Kenya, but those plans were abandoned following the breakup.
Harbour, who purchased a home in Atlanta last year to be closer to the Stranger Things set, had reportedly been distant from the family home in Brooklyn, where Allen resides with her two children.
Allen’s friends believe Harbour had been interested in other women since autumn. “By the time they broke up, she had become convinced he had a secret girlfriend,” said a source.
Harbour is yet to address the allegations.

Lily Allen has divided fans after she stated that her kids "totally ruined" her career.
Appearing on an episode of the Radio Times Podcast with host Kelly-Anne Taylor and presenter Miquita Oliver, the 38-year-old opened up about how becoming a mom has impacted her career.
"I love them and they complete me, but in terms of pop stardom, totally ruined it," Allen said.
"It really annoys me when people say you can have it all because, quite frankly, you can’t," added Allen, who welcomed her first child Ethel Mary in 2011 with her ex-husband Sam Cooper followed by Marnie Rose, whom the pair had in 2013.
The star then went on to reveal that her own childhood influenced the way she brought up her own kids.
"Some people choose their career over their children, and that’s their prerogative," she said on the podcast. "But my parents were quite absent when I was a kid, and I feel like that really left some nasty scars that I'm not willing to, you know, repeat on mine.
"So I chose stepping back and concentrating on them and I’m glad that I have done that because I think they're pretty well-rounded people," she continued before adding: "Fingers f****** crossed."
Her comments have divided people, with some praising the star's honesty, while others slammed her for talking about her children in such a negative manner.
"I'm pretty sure many celebs have kids and still have a career," wrote one user while another added: "It comes down to grit and dedication. There are moms out there with far less resources doing it while raising kids..."
However, others hit back with this one user writing: "Wow, everyone took that way too seriously. She sounds like a great mom because often the people that say 'you can have it all' aren’t putting their all into anything."
Allen has previously spoken out about balancing a career while being a full-time mom, admitting that she's felt embarrassed about her music career not fully flourishing like she would have wanted it to.
"I... felt shame professionally if things didn’t turn out just so," she told InStyle in an interview back in 2020. "I was trying to please everybody, so if the record company wasn’t happy with my sales or people were criticizing the way I looked, I felt as if I had to do whatever it took to be considered successful."
Apart from music, the 'Not Fair' singer has now shifted her focus to acting, appearing in West End roles for 2:22 A Ghost Story and The Pillowman, as well as the comedy-drama Dreamland which is available on Sky Atlantic.
Allen is also now married to Stranger Things star David Harbour after the pair tied the knot in Las Vegas back in 2020 after being divorced from Cooper for two years.
